We have stayed at this location the last 2 years. We find the staff extra friendly, and helpful in all ways. They have a great breakfast , consisting of eggs, bisquits, gravy, sausage, waffles, doughnuts, cereals, muffins, You name and they got it ! Two clean pools, one inside that is airconditioned and one out. Two queen beds with pillow top matresses that sleep like a dream. Rooms where clean when we checked in and cleaned every day. Located on main Pigeon Forge strip very close to everthing. They furnish all the amenities you need. Will stay there again next year without a doubt. Best bargain motel in the area as far as we are concerned . Stayed Saturday thru Thursday averaging around 75.00 a night. Very much a bargain when you consider the full breakfast every morning. Overall like I said "Home away from Home"

My lovely bride of near thirty years have stayed at this hotel several times when it was a Hampton Inn. We thought it was good .... not great. When we booked here last fall we were concerned that the hotel had become an independent one. They convinced us to stay and we just recently stayed again.  The only thing different is.. The hotel is cleaner, the staff is nicer and the food......way better!!  Oh yeah, cheaper too. Only complaint...breakfast was so popular it was hard to find a seat. Maybe that's actually a compliment. Doesn't matter.  We will be back and can't imagine a better value. Thanks

First I have to metion the staff. They were so friendly!! Really wonderful people work at The Inn on the River! The hotel itself is a little older, but very comfortable. We had a room on the river and chairs outside to sit and watch the ducks and feed the birds. I was very comfortable in their beds although everyone has their own preference. We were very satisfied with our room and would definitely consider staying here again. Breakfast was more than adequate and included waffles which is always a real plus We didn't have time to use the pool but I can say it is a smallish sized pool overlooking the river. The hotel is near attractions, restaurants, not far from Gatlinburg and also near the Smokey Mountain National Park. If you want brand new and pristine, this is not the place for you. If you want friendly, coureous service and a comfortable place to stay, the Inn on the River is for you..

Read the reviews for Inn On The River on TripAdvisor, sounded good so we decided to try it. Stayed three nights July 4th thru July 7th. First let me say you get what you pay for. Hotel was reasonably clean for Pigeon Forge. First problem was check-in, We arrived early and desk clerk said to come back at 3:00 pm. Came back, they told us rooms weren't clean but would be soon. 5:00 before we got a room, ok they were full the night before. Second problem they didn't come to clean the room the next day until 5:30, told them to leave new towels we were getting ready to go eat. Next day they came but no clean bed coverings, would bring later. Never did. The rooms were small but not too bad. I've stayed in worse but better too. Pay a little more somewhere else. The river did smell like sewer sometimes. Breakfast was good but no where to sit. Don't know how it's rated this good on Tripadvisor.

Our group of 7 stayed at The Inn On the River over the 4th of July weekend. The Inn is conveniently located and within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. We found the breakfast to be ok. Slightly better than the average continental breakfast we've encountered. They were supposed to have an omelet station, but did not. That was a little disappointing. The breakfast items did not vary at all day to day. The Inn was very crowded since it was 4th of July weekend so it was a little frustrating to try to fight the crowd for a piece of toast.

All in all the accommodations were fine. We found the Inn to be clean. The front desk employees were friendly. The "bath and Body Works" toiletries were a nice touch. I would stay here again.

We stayed there this past week and paid for a room with a river view. When we first went on the balcony, all we saw was the traffic and the river smelled horrible. Plus there was garbage in the room from the previous tenants. This hotel needs to be updated in every way. The tv didn't work half the time and we had to keep messing with wires in the back to get it to work. There are no washers and drawers in the hotel to do laundry if you need to. [The room had a musty smell to it and everything had a damp feeling to it. The room was either freezing or hot- no happy medium with the a/c unit. They have 2 computers and only one was working but ran very slowly. The pools are small and the hallway near the pool smelled so strongly of chlorine. My children went in it once and after only a few minutes their eyes were burning and red from the chlorine. They never went back in it again. I did not have a problem with the staff or breakfast but this hotel needs a lot of work, and was very disappointed. We will not go back again.

We were struggling for a while trying to determine where to stay in Pigeon Forge since this would be a first trip there. Luckily my wife is better than any travel agent I've worked with. She found and selected this hotel after an hour working the net. Wow. Were we pleasantly surprised. I didn't want to stay there because the price seemed low compared to what was promised. I won't be second guessing her again. Staff, location, cleanliness and breakfast were over the top.

We stayed two extra days just because of the fun we had in town and the comfort of a nice hotel.

We are coming back this fall and bringing our extended family and know where to eat and where to stay!!
