Booked a cabin, got a condo.
Daughter got shocked at pool.
No housekeeping during our 9 day stay.
Building was aesthetically displeasing.
Got blocked in parking one night.
A/c couldn't be turned lower than 70 degrees

The good:
Room was large, comfortable, and clean.
Located off strip, so traffic was bearable.
Pool seemed clean

The home was everything i was described and more. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, it was something that my family and I will remember for a lifetime. Spacious rooms, decor, and ammenities were awesome. The views spactacular, and the fireworks from the park were sort of the "icing on the cake" for our grandchildren. I would gladly recommend Golfview and especailly the "Tutti Fruiti" to anone coming to Pigeon Forge or the Great Smokey Mountains. The two down sides were it would have been good to have had a thermostat on the second floor to better control the A/C and little better equiped kitchen.

We stayed 2 nights in the Rockin Robin Cabin 7/19-7/21 . There were 5 adults, 2 children, and a toddler . The cabin was clean for the most part just a couple of nit picky things! The rug in the living room probably needs to be replaced but that is the only complaint I have. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and cleaning up! The kids enjoyed the pool and play area. We ended up having car problems and thought we were going to be late checking out. JoAnn at the front desk allowed us a late check out so we could keep the kids cool while making repairs. The staff and other guest we really friendly and helpful! We are planning our next trip now!

We were in Unit 3204, a three bedroom, three bath condo. It was nice enough, but not clean. We had three adults, one preschooler, and two toddlers. Two adults and one preschooler had to cancel at the last minute. If they had not canceled, we may have been a bit crowded. The babies feet were black at the end of every day from walking around on the bare floor. The carpet had spots. We had reserved two cribs that were to be placed in the room before we arrived, but they were not there. Someone did bring them up after I reminded them, but they were filthy and the office had to send someone up with cleaner to clean them. While the cleaning person was there, I pointed out to her that there appeared to be dirty linens in the closet floor. She took the dirty sheets that were there, but just took the blanket that was wadded up in the closet floor, folded it up and placed it back on the shelf like it was clean.

We never used any of the amenities as it was too much trouble to get the babies in the car and drive to the pool. The hill is too steep to get to the pool with a stroller. My daughter did take the preschooler to the playground, but some of the equipment was broken. We never saw a fitness center.

I probably would not stay here again.

Dear jlh ~

After taking a closer look at 3204 in the Hillcrest building, it obviously needs 2-3 bar stools for eating seating. There are currently only 6 chairs at the dining room table, but the unit sleeps eight people. It would embarrass us, too, if extra guests had to sit on the floor. We will do our best to rectify this as soon as possible, and we're sorry you had to personally experience the thought of it.

Newly purchased Pack N Play travel crib/play yards will be replaced as soon as they begin to show wear. We're thinking of adding nice, sturdy high chairs that can be easily sanitized to our inventory of play yards and roll-away beds. It IS a lot easier for us to have it than you to haul it.

While it is difficult to keep up with the soot from Dolly's train and parking lot oils tracked into the buildings, we're happy to clean the carpet while our guests are out for the day at their request, It's busy this time of year and the housekeepers usually clean the carpet in between guests. We're sorry that it wasn't until after your departure that we figured out steam is the only way to get the wood and tile floors cleaned of the previously mentioned factors. We took over the rental company at the Resort (it was Bear Run Falls) in February 2013 and all of our mistakes are lessons.

And, believe it or not, your issues of 'no steps to the pool from Hillcrest and the Tower', the exercise equipment that disappeared, and the playground re-hab are hot topics at the annual meeting of the Golf View Community of Co-owners next month. Therefore, we very much appreciate your voicing of the exact same amenity concerns of which we are aware and share with you.

Should you ever decide to give us another chance, we hope you're delighted with the progress we'll have made. We're glad you found the condo to be nice, and we're sorry for everything else that didn't meet your expectation.

Best regards,
Eddie and Tina Nelson

We stayed here three nights 7/11-714, 2013. Our condo was a one bedroom # 1301. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was convenient to everything in the area. We got there early and could not check in until 3. So, if they say 3, they mean it! We had other family there in other condos and ours was a little inconvenient to them, they were up the hill and we were in the tower, but we managed. The parking and elevators were nice. The pool and picnic area are down the hill. Overall, I would probably stay here again but I will not be going to Pigeon Forge again in the summer. Just way too overcrowded and traffic is ridiculous. Thank you Golfview for a nice place to stay..........

Room Tip: We visited family members in the Hillside Units and there was noise overhead and they experienced the "coal dust" on the childrens feet. But, that said, the units were very nice and roomy......
