“Horrible!!!”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

I was told by one of the housekeepers that there was only enough towels to put in the rooms and if there are dirty ones they have to be washed before they can be given out each day! REALLY? The room we had had a light in the corner that did not have a lamp shade, the knob was broke, so you had to plug it in to turn it on. The bath tub and the front of the microwave both had burn marks on them (cigarette burns I hope). The beds had two flat sheets, we're made poorly, I only saw two housekeepers and they were both little old lady's ( they were sweet) but did not look like they could clean all of the rooms. The gentleman at the front desk seemed to have a strange since of humor (smart butt). We ask about our towels and he said "they have to wash some first" . The man who I later found out was the owner was constantly yelling at his housekeepers. The pool was not clean and so small that we didn't even bother trying to get in, there were about five or six kids in it and no more room! The breakfast is a box of donuts and coffee if you can get them to open up for you! IT WAS JUST HORRIBLE NEVER GOING AGAIN!!

The reason we picked this hotel was because it was the only hotel in the area that had a room with two queen beds and an adjoining room with another queen bed. This was just what we needed and we didn't even know it existed! It was fairly close to Dollywood so after a long day at the park we didn't have to drive far. The rooms were clean and nice. The only complaint I would say is all they offered for breakfast was a small box of donuts in the lobby, but then they are beside Golden Corral and other breakfast places. Overall we had a good experience.

I was kind of leery with some of the past reviews, but decided to take a chance anyway. Upon check in, the staff was super friendly. He assigned us to room 315. When we got in our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very nice and clean. Headed to the shower first thing, yeah it's a little slow to drain, but great hot water and pressure. The beds were very comfortable. Towels very clean and soft. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks for such a great experience.

Ok so the room was o.k. The front desk people were helpful, kind. But in the morning the "continental breakfast" was a box of Krispy Creme donuts. My mother and I got 2. When the rest of my family went down we were told they only can purchase 8 donuts per the owner. States they were wasting too many donuts. I was told we could go to Golden Corral. Umm there is a full motel full of people but you can still only buy 8 donuts? Had to go find housekeeping to get towels, toilet paper etc; They never came to my room or my daughters to ask if we would like the room tidied up. There is way too many motels on the Parkway to pick this one.

Good news: I got a room with three queen beds, one in its own room. So for a single dad of girls I got my privacy. Bad news: Never saw a single cleaning person, had to find out own towels, tolet paper and take out our own trash. The front office was never open, and to check out at 9 am, I had to slid my keys in the door crack! There was no sign that anyone bothered to care for the property. Mind you this was all off season. But the place was not as advertised. There was no "free" breakfast, no working WI-Fi, and no service personnel. The fact we never used it except to sleep, I guess it worked for us. But I would not do it again.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.

Staff friendly. But, room in general state of disrepair. Definite plumbing problems with water not draining from tub, no way to retain water in sink, commode outdated and had to sit carefully as seat would "slide" creating possible pinching hazard. Also, tank did not fit the commode seemingly to be precariously balanced. Tub was either very old and/or dirty and shower curtain was badly stained. Also, we had to us a piece that was no longer attached to the heat/AC to keep curtains in place for privacy as the AC/heat unit blew straight up causing the curtains to billow out from the window, i.e., no privacy at all. In addition, the room was either too hot or too cold - no consistent control of the temperature.

Upon arrival, water in sink was very slow in getting hot. On morning of departure, there was NO HOT WATER TO SHOWER WITH. Entire facility in dire need of repairs and upgrades. This was a family weekend getaway with two rooms being booked. In one of the rooms, the tub would not drain from showers the previous evening.

We were informed it was the company's policy to not offer refunds or compensation in any way. Needless to say, some members of our party had to choice but to start their day and drive home without bathing. We will NEVER consider choosing this hotel again if we visit Pigeon Forge again.

I hope this is not an example of most hotels in Pigeon Forge.

We regret staying at Briarstone Inn trying to save $$. Never again! We read trip advisor reviews too late. Headboard was balancing on mattress so we didn't know it was in need of repair until we went to bed and the headboard went on tilt. King bed - shot mattress - sagging in middle. Uncomfortable! Sheet wouldn't stay on bed - too small. Carpeting very stained. Tub mat/towel was covering burn marks on bathtub. Worse, though, was the scum and discoloration on the bottom of the shower curtain. Yuck! Coffee maker was missing from room. After waiting about 1.5 hours. - went to front desk. One man operation - was checking out pot to see if it worked before he brought it up. We didn't see any bugs but felt icky staying here anyway. Entire place needs a facelift. Run, run as fast as you can. Don't stay here ! PS. Forget about hotel breakfast - joke - packaged small muffin/role. Oh... Also looked like electrical prob with hair dryer. Black around outlet and end of cord.
