This hotel is a block off the busy strip of Pigeon Forge. It was once a Country Inn & Suites. Not sure why the parting of ways, but we paid under $60 for a king suite room. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, and the hotel was so quiet, even when it was raining hard outside. The indoor swimming pool was really big and they have a hot tub also. It's a short block walk to the busy strip where all the action is, or you can catch a trolley at one of the trolley stops close-by. The front desk staff was so very nice, suggesting less frequented walking trails. The entire hotel was nice and clean. The free hot breakfast was tasty! The hotels in Gatlinburg are twice the price of this one. Also, this is a no pets hotel, which is another reason it stays so clean. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to the mountains.

We stayed at Country Cascades during the week of 6-5-2010. After reading some of the bad reviews on this hotel we were a bit concerned, but booked anyway. Having said that, I can honestly say this is a good ,and safe hotel. Everything was clean, and the front desk staff went out of their way to meet our needs, as well as for others.
We had a slight problem with our room, They could have chosen to remedy the problem ,and keep us in the room, instead they went above, and beyond, and moved us to another room.
This hotel use to be Country Inn,and Suites, some of the rooms still stink like smoke from when they owned it, so this is no fault of Country Cascades, and they are working on correcting this problem.
Most older hotels in the south stink like cigarette smoke, new one don't because they were newly built as non-smoking hotels. Truth be said the South is backwards, and stuck behind the times including the nasty habits of smoking, and chewing tobacco so these older hotels suffered.
Having said all this,Country Cascades is equal to any Holiday inn or like hotel of a three star rating. So give them a chance, and you'll be well pleased. As for the bad reviews, I would venture to say these people were expecting a 5 star full accommodations resort for the great, and reasonable charge at Country Cascades. That my friends is a fairy tail and should not be expected.
Note we have travelled the US extensively so we have stayed at many hotels, Oh and were Southerners so we bust on the South No pun intended

I am sorry about the smell of cigarette smoke, but we are a non-smoking hotel now so there should be no lingering cigarette odor. I am glad we were able to solve your problem as we strive for 100% guest satisfaction. We do look forward to seeing you again this summer.

The hotel was nice enough. It was clean, a little old. We stayed with another family and got a 2 bedroom suite and would not do that again. The bedrooms were up and spiral staircase and one bedroom was a loft over the downstairs with the other just on the other side of a wall (no door) so not much privacy. The breakfast space was great, very large and plenty of room to move around. Not our favorite place to stay in Pigeon Forge, but we would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times as it used to be Country Inn and Suites. It was nice to see whoever took it over put some money into it and really spruce it up. When we were there they were repainting the outside of the hotel.

When we arrived in our room it seems like they have replaced the bedding and put in new flat screen TV's, and replaced the small refrigerator's. The nightstand table seemed to be the same old ones, but I would assume everything in the room's will be replaced over time.

We had began to grow tired of the hotel under the old Country Inn and Suites, but now it's changed ownership I would say it will remain my first choice when we visit Pigeon Forge unless I can find a much better deal somewhere else. We'll always look to Country Cascades first!

First I would like to thank you for the loyalty you have shown over the years. We have indeed performed a major renovation and there are several changes that we have made that you have not noted including DVD players in all of the rooms, new drapes, and new carpet in the hallways. We look forward to continuing to have you as our guest many more times in the future.

This hotel was off the main thoroughfare, and you could walk to one amusement park, a TGIFridays, and shopping. There was a Kroger nearby if you wanted to get a few grocery. It is located between lights 3 and 4 in Pigeon Forge.
We reserved a "penthouse" which is nothing more than 2 semi-private rooms up a spiral staircase, but it only had one bathroom in the main area. Our son was able to sleep on the pullout sofa and play video games ( had to bring your own) while we slept upstairs.
The indoor pool was either dirty OR full of chlorine which you could smell in the parking lot. While washing clothes I was able to look from the 2nd floor into the indoor pool area and watch my kids. They have 2 washers and 2 dryers for guest use at 1.75 for washer, 1.25 for dryer. It was worth it to get a head start on a week's worth of family clothing before coming home.
We never did the morning breakfast as we were always full from the night before meal. Mel's diner is within walking distance of the hotel not on the parkway.
It worked for us to plan to do events/activities in Gatlinburg one day, one day's trip to Seviereville and Forbidden Caverns.
easy access to all that is in the area. most hotels in the area looked really great once you get to Pigeon Forge. You know that you are in Pigeon Forge when the traffic light number's change; at traffic light 0 you are leaving Pigeon Forge and going into Sevierville. So pay attention to traffic light numbers.

First we would like to say that we are glad you enjoyed your stay at our newly renovated hotel. It's location is extremely convenant to many of the attractions in Pigeon Forge. We are disappointed that your found our pool lacking. Usually the non-chlorine salt based purification system keeps the pool very clean. Please give us another opportunity to have you as our guest and improve on our performance.

From the time we turned off the parkway and saw the hotel we were impressed. The facility had just be renovated and from the outside, looked brand new. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and quite helpful. The interior was very clean and well maintained. Our room was quite large, very clean with 2 queen beds and pillow-top matresses, what a plus! The pool area was very nice, an out-side contractor comes in every morning to test the water and maintain the pool/hottub. Breakfast was very good also, more that the usual dounut and cup of coffee "continental breakfast" you get at more hotels. We look forward to staying here again in the future!!

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have worked hard to remodel our hotel and bring you a better stay. The hard work has paid off and we are extremely proud of our hotel now featuring 32" flat screen televisions and DVD players in every room. We hope to have you as a guest again soon.

My family and I loved the clean room, friendly helpful staff and luxurious room we had. We loved the vaulted ceilings, in-room jacuzzi and fireplace. It also had a lovely view of a little creek behind it. They had a great breakfast each morning. We had waffles, gravy and biscuit, fruit, donuts and cereal. We have found the best motel in Pigeon Forge. Love it!
