“Sitting on the edge of the creek”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2014

As I am sitting here in site 49 with it's shrubbery to hide your hook-ups, lighted pedestal , street light, and well maintained lawn, I believe this is the nicest spot I have ever parked in. The ramp of my toy hauler is literally laying on the berm that runs along the creek bank so I can watch a mother and three ducklings motor by. Ben who took my reservation was very friendly and efficient. When we arrived Stefany at the office seemed genuinely glad to have us here. She checked us in, helped with purchasing firewood and explained the rules to us all cheerfully. She was a delight to deal with. The place is immaculate and there are maintenance workers out daily. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms, laundry facilities, and showers are out of this world. Indeed the splash pool is only four feet deep but at 52 I still cannot swim so that is just about my speed. Two notes from other reviews though. Garbage pickup is at 9:30 and to me that is not unreasonable. Also "There were no views of mountains", the trees do obscure the mountains to some degree now but I am looking at a peak this moment. The level, full concrete pads are a dream to set up on and the picnic tables and fire rings are in good repair with even a grill attachment on the fire rings. Yes it is a little pricier than some of the surrounding facilities but remember the old adage "you get what you pay for".

Room Tip: Book early!!!

We stayed at Pine Mountain last July. (sorry just getting around to reviewing it). Super nice campground. The spaces are immaculate. Concrete pads with each one. The bathrooms are all granite and teak wood. Beautiful, but also clean too! They have an agreement with the hotel across the street to use their pool and lazy river, which my kids loved. The location is excellent, it is in the heart of Pigeon Forge near all the attractions, but it is on a side street, so you don't have the noise of the Parkway. They were building a very nice go-cart track down the street, so my kids are ready to go back to see if it's open. If you like, they have spots on the creek which were very nice.

Ok, first of all this is the cleanest most level campground in the area. All paved and concrete pads. The pool is a splash pool but you can walk across the street and use the Mainstay suites indoor pool though they don't seem thrilled about it. They give you a list of rules but no one seems to enforce them. Wifi doesn't work well at all and we were about 20 feet from the box. Cable is nice. There is trash pickup but it is early. They always seem to be cleaning the showers in the mornings. Washing machine cost 2 bucks to use and dryer is 1.25!

We stayed here while visiting the area. Loved the location. Close enough to Dollywood for about a 15-20 min drive. About 20-30 min to Gatlinburg. Everything was new. Nice level sites with concrete pads under them all. The sites are smaller so if you're into having large groups in your site this may not be your thing. We stayed on number 17, not located on the creek. Those sites are larger and have some grass. To close to the water when the rains came for our comfort. That creek turned into a 5-6 foot deep raging river. I would have been concerned if I was on those sites and had small children with me. The park is concerned about their grass so it was hard to park a crew cab truck with a 33 ft rv on that site without hitting the grass or being in the road. Other sites are bigger. We wanted to be away from the buildings. We use the facilites in our camper but did check out the building. Showers were real nice and everything was clean. The pool located on the property is basically for smaller kids. Our kids were all over 10 and preferred using the pools and lazy river at the hotel across the street which was included with our RV site. You could see the fireworks from Dollywood at night. There is no garbage pickup but the dumpsters are right on site and a short walk. Everything is new but it is very clean. You have to remember this is an RV park not a campground. There are no activities, no onsite store or food service facilities. It's pretty much a really place to park with a pool for small kids. I definitely would go back if ever in the area!

Made a reservation mistake that would cause me to move sites for one day. Only way they offered to make up for mistake was to issue a refund or put Me in a smaller site. Could have offered a discount or something else for their mistake and I would have been happy. Took the refund and went to Another campground down the street that was much larger and nicer. Pine Mountain does not look like their website no Mountains in background very small stream

We just finished our first stay at pine mountain. We had a great time and the campground was so clean! The bathrooms were spotless. I liked the separate and individual showers. Sometimes I don't like being in a bathhouse at night, but this is great because you just lock the door! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
