To us, Pigeon Forge itself was akin to Myrtle Beach without the beach. Lots of the same "attractions" as can be found in MB-Wonderworks, The Titanic "Museum" Experience, souvenir shops and chain restaurants that can be found all over. It was our first visit, and although enjoyable, we would probably stay further out on our next trip. It wasn't bad, just not our "thing". We came to see the mountains and spend our time in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, which we did.

The Hampton Inn was WONDERFUL-clean, quiet, great beds, plenty of hot water and perfectly suited us for our one night stay. The pool area appeared inviting, although we didn't partake. Breakfast was standard selection.

Jmlynn1, Thank you for your fabulous Tripadvisor review! The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is within 8 miles of our hotel. Pigeon Forge is a family fun filled town. The attractions are much the same as they are in Myrtle Beach as you mentioned. But one thing Myrtle Beach does not have is our beautiful Smoky Mountains. If you do decide to stay in Pigeon Forge again, please give us a call! ;) Thank you again.

Last week I stayed here 5 nights with my family (kids age 3 and 11). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this new hotel. The location was only about 10 min for the park entrance and near the pigeon forge main strip, just off the main road. There are pools indoors and outdoors and a small zero-entry splash pad. My little girl just screamed "it's just my size!" Gwen she saw it and we swam at least once per day. The staff was very nice and responsive to any requests. The only thing I'd like to see improved, the beautiful outdoor patio area was nice for eating breakfast but the tables were covered in ashes from people smoking the night before, so I had to clean them off every morning. Would absolutely stay here again.

Quinn314, Our team is ecstatic to hear that your family had such a fun time vacationing with the Award Winning Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge. Our pools are enjoyed by folks of all age! Thank you for letting me know about the conditions of the patio tables. This will be brought to the attention of the night houseman. Thank you again! :)

Excellent service and staff at this hotel. Pool access really helped out with the weather (heat) and the kids enjoyed it too. Loction is in a good area where you have access to anywhere in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinberg. Will stay again on next trip to Pigeon Forge.

We traveled to Pigeon Forge for a long weekend after dropping our daughter at UT for her first year. The location worked well for us as we were looking to spend most of our time in Pigeon Forge shopping, eating and relaxing. This hotel is new, very clean and has spacious rooms. We had a nice view of the mountains and the Ferris Wheel. It was close to restaurants, ice cream and shopping. We really enjoyed The Island and this hotel was very convenient to this new destination. Via a back road it could be accessed in less than 5 minutes without encountering any traffic of note. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Sandy H, CONGRATULATIONS to your daughter! UT is a great school! :) I'm elated that you had a pleasant stay with the Award Winning Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge! The new Island of Pigeon Forge can be accessed within 5 minutes. It is less than 2 miles from the hotel. There is a ton of activities and shopping to do in that area alone! Thank you again! :)

Spent 7 days at this hotel during our vacation in Pigeon Forge. Our stay has mixed reviews. Would have loved to give it a higher review but the cons out weighed the pros.

Pro- the hotel is newer and modern.
-The lounge area is nicely decorated and clean.
-The pools even though on the smaller side are very nice and clean. -They are also located on the back of the hotel and not on the street.
-The location of the hotel is slightly off the beaten path.
-The hotel is quiet. It was very busy but in your room you would never know it. Did not hear other guests walking, talking, running, jumping, etc. Every now and then you heard a door close.
-the hotel is smaller, not a lot of rooms.
-The breakfast was a good value-free. Not much of a variety. They try to change it up but it's really the same every day.
-The outside area in the back was a nice place to sit.(see cons)

Con- housekeeping: stayed 7 days, room never vacuumed, dusted, or given toilet paper even though there was only a very small amount on the roll until the last day. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in the room. I had to go to the front desk and ask for toilet paper. They only made the beds, picked up dirty towels and gave new towels, gave new shampoos, and took out the garbage. Our room was not cleaned until after 3:00 pm. Had to finally ask one day when they were going to clean our room, it was close to 4 o'clock. There was only one housekeeper working on our floor.
- After our room was cleaned, someone from housekeeping knocked once on the door and then entered . I didn't even have a chance to answer it. I did talk to the front desk and was told to put the recharging sign out when in the room. I was however, given a credit on our bill(thank you) .
-The outside area was a nice place to sit to relax. However, people smoke out there. Alot...... Ashes everywhere, smelled like smoke. Also no cushions on the chairs.
- Breakfast. Not enough seats for everyone to sit. Everyone goes between 8-10. We even had to sit outside with the smokers.
-There are no effective exhaust vents in the bathroom. One shower and the entire room was full of humid air that had nowhere to go. Imagine 4 showers a day for 7 days... The room had a musty smell, and everything felt wet. It took days for our swimsuits to dry. If you have allergies to must or mold they will flare up. The only thing that seem to keep the humidity down was turning the air down to 68 or lower.
-On the second day the large elevator which is shared with housekeeping was down for the entire day. It was down for about 1 1/2 days. We were on the 4th floor and chose to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs instead of waiting for the little elevator(it was very crowded and a very long wait). The hotel did have cookies and water by the elevator for the inconvenience.

We really like Hampton inn as a hotel, but this one just was not up to par.

Thank you Kerry G for your Tripadvisor review! I want to apologize for the lack of housekeeping service that you received while visiting with our hotel. This is definitely not the norm for our property as you can see from the previous great Tripadvisor reviews before yours. I am pleased to hear that you were refunded a 1 night stay for your troubles. Again, I sincerely apologize.
The cushions for our outdoor furniture was removed to be cleaned. We must clean them often so that our guests can have a clean and comfy seating area to enjoy our beautiful fireplace.
We do have an exhaust vent in every room. There is a continuous flow of air that is pulled through a ventilation system by a large series of units that sits upon the roof of the hotel. I will be sure to have our Chief Engineer check the units to make sure they are working properly.
Yes, unfortunately, our service elevator was down for less than 24 hours. We had a new circuit board installed. It was up and running the next morning by 10 am. I hope you enjoyed the fresh baked cookies and ice water while you waited the few extra minutes for our second elevator.
Thank you again for your time!
