Stayed at James Manor upon recommendation of co-worker. Front desk persons were very nice and helpful. Room was really larger than I expected, clean and beds were great! Bathroom was clean, but a little small. Never made it to their breakfast, so can't comment on that. We had room with porch/balcony (shared with another room) overlooking the "main drag". We're "people watchers" so it was very entertaining (but remember, you will have road noise). We had trouble with remote, they let us try 3 different remotes and still couldn't get the tv channels to change except manually. As I have mentioned before, smokers out-number non-smokers about 10-1 in this area. Motel was non-smoking, however, guests would sneak onto porches/balconies to smoke. We have a convertible, and somehow the last night we were there cigarette ashes (probably from one of the porches) were evidently tossed onto our car top, leaving a mark. Husband was not happy about that. Previous post is correct - I believe they're w under Indian ownership, but they're smart enough to leave the locals on the front desk. The only complaints I have are the fact we had trouble with the tv remote(s) and one of the lampshades should be changed. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this 9.5 and I would stay there again.
