“Good Stay”
Reviewed 10 July 2009

Stayed at James Manor upon recommendation of co-worker. Front desk persons were very nice and helpful. Room was really larger than I expected, clean and beds were great! Bathroom was clean, but a little small. Never made it to their breakfast, so can't comment on that. We had room with porch/balcony (shared with another room) overlooking the "main drag". We're "people watchers" so it was very entertaining (but remember, you will have road noise). We had trouble with remote, they let us try 3 different remotes and still couldn't get the tv channels to change except manually. As I have mentioned before, smokers out-number non-smokers about 10-1 in this area. Motel was non-smoking, however, guests would sneak onto porches/balconies to smoke. We have a convertible, and somehow the last night we were there cigarette ashes (probably from one of the porches) were evidently tossed onto our car top, leaving a mark. Husband was not happy about that. Previous post is correct - I believe they're w under Indian ownership, but they're smart enough to leave the locals on the front desk. The only complaints I have are the fact we had trouble with the tv remote(s) and one of the lampshades should be changed. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this 9.5 and I would stay there again.

I had made reservations to stay in Pigeon Forge in June. We always stay in a cabin but had decided to stay in town this time. When we arrived at the motel they had not reserved the type of room promised for starters. We looked at the room which was dark and smelled of mildew. The manager was accommodating however and let us cancel. We went across the street to James Manor and couldn't get over how clean it was. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. She let us go up to look at the room which again impressed me with it's cleanliness. It was roomy and bright. We had a private balcony overlooking the parkway and very reasonably priced.
This was a pleasant experience in every way!

Blue - Green resorts placed us here for 2 nights in exchange to listen to there sales pitch. First of all Blue Green is Very High Pressure, Very Very Misleading and expects people to pay good money for something you do not get to see or stay other then pictures. Talked to 2 owners in following days and they both would sell out if they could. The claim stay with RCI. Now the Hotel= Hot Tub Broke, Bed Linens Dirty, Towels had Stains, Shower Curtains Mold and Smell, In-Room Coffee Bad, Breakfast consisted of 2 cold cereals, milk, coffee, hard biscuits and 3 day old gravy served from a plastic bag. The best thing was the front desk girls who were very helpful and professional. The girls were Great ! The Owners,,,, well the top line says it best

Upon our stay at this hotel we arrived on a Thursday April 2. We had planned on staying until Sunday. Thursday evening we relaxed and visited a few sites around town and came in and went to the swimming pool and slept. Friday, we spent the entire day out enjoying sites and spent sometime in Gatlinburg. It was late when we came in and showed and went to bed. By Saturday morning when we were getting dressed and ready to head out again my husband discovered that he had but one shirt! Three of his shirts were missing. They were Harley Davidson t shirts. Naturally he complained to the front desk, and was polite in doing so. We did not have a lot of luggage and pretty much knew what we packed. Before complaining we checked the entire room for them. I mean you would not think someone would rob you of your t shirts. (Including a dirty one.) But they were no where to be found. He was contacted by the front desk person he complained to and she told him that they could not prove he even had the shirts and made him out to be like he was lying!! So he asked to speak to a manager. They kept making excuses. He was offered a check for a small amount but by the time they offered it to him he was already mad. He refused the check because it was not about the money and we stayed our last night at another hotel. They made him out to be a liar. I understand people do stupid things for refunds all the time. But HONESTLY!! The shirts were no where to be found. He was treated very rude and disrepectful and if you stay here just BEWARE. If they will take shirts from you, what else will they do. My family and I no longer felt safe at this place. My husband has and is still trying to contact managers and the owner of this hotel. But everyone seems to not want to deal with him. So I will tell you this. All the people we know will NOT be staying at this hotel. I can assure you that.

We always go to Pigeon Forge for a weekend during the winter. We have stayed at many properties in Pigeon Forge and this was our first time staying here. We were very pleased with this place. The breakfast was absoutely the best. We had planned only to eat there one time during our stay and end up eating there every morning. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!! The best continental breakfast I ever had. The pool was small but my boys ages 7 & 11 didn't care, they had a wonderful time. We had a room on the 7th floor and a view of the back of motel, which also I might add because my kids enjoyed it too because able to watch the go-karts racing next door. This location is close to restaurants, arcade and shopping too. We will be coming back again. Thank you James Manor for all you do to make your customers keep coming back.

The hotel room was very nice and clean. The sheets were crisp and inviting. My hubby and I enjoyed the room with its view of the city lights.. The hotel pool is large sized with plenty of swimming room. The breakfast goes really fast so you must be there early to get anything at all. Overall, the place is pretty nice and I hope that my hubby and I can stay again soon.
