Enjoyed it so much we went back for a second day! The lines get really long, but that is to be expected. Our 4 and 6 year olds wanted to spend the majority of the time on the lazy river and in the Cascades, Little Creek Falls and Fire Tower areas.

The food prices are VERY expensive. $4 for a small drink! We are used to Disneyworld prices for food, but these were even higher. We ate before we got there, brought some snacks with us and then ate after we left.

My husband and I took our 4 year old son to Dollywood Splash Country while vacationing in Pigeon Forge. Being the daredevil that he is, our son wanted to ride every slide. He was actually able to ride almost all of the attractions (with a parent of course) and loved it!! He especially liked the racing water slides! We've been to Splash Country twice already and would no doubt go back!

This is a Summer destination theme park, so plan accordingly. I highly recommend arriving early so you can find a decent parking space & scout the best lounge chairs. Overcast days will typically not be as crowded. Older kids will enjoy the faster rides while the little ones appreciate those areas especially for them. The crowds are staggering during peak sunny-day season; often the wait for the more popular slides are an hour or much longer.

Food and drinks are expensive and typical theme-park fare; if you can, hold off and eat outside the park. Although you are not "allowed" to do so, some guests bring their own snacks & drinks in beach bags or small, soft sided coolers.

Lifeguards are posted around the large wave pool and inner tube floats are available here; same applies for the Lazy River attraction.

Although we did not use this feature, the park has started a "fast pass" for the newer slides.

We had a great time on the variety of water slides and coasters. The park is safe, clean, fun and friendly. Crazy good entertainment value. 10/10.

How can you be very good, but not great? Have a family special for food, that is basically the same price as buying it separately. Everything was good, Dolly, but advertising a special that is not really not that special is tacky. Other than this, still very good. Why not be great?
