“Christmas can be felt All Year Long”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2013

This hotel is just great! It is absolutely beautiful. From the exterior structure that has a Bavarian look, the beautiful trees and lights, to the beautifully decorated lobby and meeting area. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast had everything that you could want from an omelet stand to all the juices and fruits, along with just about anything you could want for breakfast. All freshly made. We were lucky enough to be there when Santa came for a visit! Such a nice man that is very famous around the area and is actually a great singer! The kids and the adults had a great time as he sang to us and entertained all the kids. They came out in their Christmas pj's and Santa hats and made it feel like we were all sitting around in our living room talking to Santa. They also serve coffee and hot cider! One of the hotel's greatest features is the 25ft Glockenspiel (clock). It is just amazing. It plays at each hour and half hour. A beautiful piece of artisanship. The rooms are a nice size and each has their own private balcony. The beds were very comfortable and everything was CLEAN! This hotel is more of an experience than just a hotel. I have very little negative to say about our stay. The outdoor area was being remodeled, so we couldn't go out there but that was not really an issue. The game room was nice for my kids but the pool table was missing some balls. The indoor pool, which is a great feature when it's too cold to swim outside, was a nice size but was too stuffy and needed some ventilation. Other than that, I have nothing else negative to say. We had a great time and hope to be able to come back during the Christmas holiday season so that we can enjoy it again. I will say that this is not a huge hotel and reservations must be made and I am sure it stays sold out during the holidays. So think ahead and book early!

This place was great. Front desk people were fun and helpful. Free cookies, coffee, lemonade out most of the day. 2 pools and a hot tub. Clean. Beds were the most comfortable I have been on in a hotel. No reason to complain. Same price as other nice hotels that have less frills. Would stay again next visit. Awesome buffet breakfast that is included

The rooms were decorated beautifully!! Santa visits with the children for stories and songs (get there early)!! Afterward there are cookies and milk for everyone! You could easily forget you are at a hotel.......it's just like home. Everything is clean. Small gym and arcade. It's a little pricey during the Christmas season, but it was worth it for my family!

The front desk was very friendly upon our arrival and allowed us to upgrade to a better room after not being happy with our initial one. Our suite was very clean, and we loved the jacuzzi tub. Our biggest issue was our balcony was covered in bird poop! Didn't really get to enjoy the view of the strip like we wanted to. Breakfast buffet is very good. Nice pool... Full of kids. Wouldn't recommend couples to stay here.

I brought my family to this place for 4 days, and my ipad and ipad mini couldn't connect to their wireless service. I tried over 30 times and kept getting an authentication server connection error. If you don't mind being completely off the grid, this is a good but expensive place to stay. When I told the front desk, the night manager Alan (good guy) they had been getting complaints since January (last 6 months), but nothing had been done. The day manager (Donna) went into complete denial about the problem and proceeded to talk over me, argue with me, even though she was technically illiterate. They didn't put me in touch with an IT person, didn't care to look at the problem, really didn't give a hoot. This hotel has a great pool, amazing pond with lilypads, and nice Christmas decorations. But if you want to stay on the grid, browse the web via ipad, DON'T STAY HERE!

Yikes, we definitely DO care about the services we promise to provide our guests - and we have been working on the problem for some time. I'm sorry that you were led to believe otherwise, and felt that we did not care about the problem.

We were working on upgrades during the time you were here, and now have additional hardware in place that has dramatically improved reception in our formerly dead zones. In addition to adding hardware to expand the reach of our WIFI network, we have published detailed instructions for connectivity and trouble-shooting, and re-trained all our front line associates to be equipped to help guests with questions about net use. The instructions will shortly be in place in each guest room as well.

In my personal experience, I have been able to access the web on our network from our boardroom through an iPad, though the boardroom is below ground. I have also met with vendors who were able to have good access in the hotel, so I believe the problem has been resolved.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience. Again, I apologize that you felt we were not concerned about problems with our network. We have a very strong technical support team, but it took some time to work out the best way to upgrade and boost service on the property. We are confident that service has been improved throughout.

Happy travels! We hope you'll visit Pigeon Forge again soon.

the hotel its beautiful! we love the cookies and milk after santa sings! when we checked in the room, it was very clean, but the next few days the housekeeping would not clean very good. we left tips for them but they dont even do the beds like they are supposed to. we found the pillows on the floor and one day, they forgot to take out the trash too.. the breakfast buffet was very good..but when we first arrive at 4:00 pm nobody was in the front desk. after waiting for a few minutes finally the girl came and she had food in her mouth. she called the housekeeping to make sure the room was ready. i dont think this is appropiate for a hotel in the top 25 best hotels in us. we expect more class..

We're glad you enjoyed the beauty of our hotel, and the milk and cookies!

I'm sorry to hear that our front desk reception and our housekeeping was much below par. I apologize that we really failed to put our best foot forward for you, and dropped the ball on cleaning. We have both cleaners and inspectors, and it is disappointing to hear that we still couldn't properly take care of your room. Our hotel manager reads all comments, and addressed the problems you shared with appropriate staff.

We strive never to drop the ball, but we do thank you for drawing our attention to it so that we have the opportunity to do better next time.

We hope you'll visit us and Pigeon Forge again soon, and that you will give us another chance to show you the service and attention which we hope to provide every guest.

Happy travels!

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of May. This place is awesome! We found it kind of late in our search and booked only a week before our stay. We were able to get two adjacent rooms. From reservation to checkout, the staff were exceptional! The rooms were very clean and extraordinarily comfortable. We have stayed in many hotels and this one is easily one of the best.

It is located close to all of the major attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It is only minutes away from Dollywood and Gatlinburg. If you don't want to drive once you get there, you can catch the trolley that takes you just about anywhere you want to go.

As mentioned in many of the previous reviews, they have a fabulous breakfast buffet including made to order omelets, make your own waffles, fresh fruits and other breakfast favorites. Great for families on a budget and a time saver.

There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance if you want to catch a bite to eat after a long day. You can park at the hotel, freshen up and walk to great food. There is also a CVS close by that you can walk to if you need to pick up personal items.

We had six people in our party with no small children and we loved it. We noticed that families with younger children really loved it. This is the place to stay if you are traveling to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.
