“Don't stay”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

I use to love this place. Not any more. Room was dirty Indian girl rude. Guess under new management. The girl that was so sweet guess they were stupid to let
her go. Won't be back. Beds need up dated. Carpet looks bad. Need paint job badly. Keys to door fixed. Smells in some the rooms.

Room was quite clean, but there were some cosmetic issues with my room. The linoleum around the toilet was discolored, possibly due to a water leak/mold. The doors were banged up, and the fridge door wouldn't close properly. Also, I would suggest that they upgrade to magnetic door keys rather than actual keys because it is really easy to misplace the one key they give you.

The breakfast "area" was more like a small card table with a waffle maker, a coffee pot, and a few bowls on it. Check-in was pretty easy, even though my total was more than what I had reserved through their website.

We found this place in the hotel coupon book and because we needed a pet friendly place we reserved it for 2 nights. After we arrived and checked in we realized they overcharged us $50.00. We were told one price in the phone and they charged $20.00 more than they told us for our pets and $30.00 for the room. We get into the room using a key (that should've told us how old it was), they told us it had a fridge and microwave. No microwave and the fridge was so small you would have to get on your knees to use it. The bathroom floor looked like it was covered with mold. When you sit on the bed it sinks to the floor. The 2 chairs they had at the table were rickety and ready to break. It was smelly and reaked o smoke which sat my husbands asthma off. We practically had to drag our dogs into the room and they turned around and ran back to the car. We left to go get some food and decided to look around. We went up he street to a new motel 6 and found a room that was $35.00 cheaper for 2 days so we took it and went back to get our stuff and turn in the key. We didn't care if we didn't get a refund. It was worth losing the money to not have to stay there. We never asked for a refund just tried to give the guy the key. He insisted that he give us at least $100.00 back but made us sign a release form that we were given back $100.00. The rest he kept for cleaning the room (we never stayed in there 15 mins. He made a comment that he has to do this all the time, which makes me think he runs a scam. They lure you in with low rates but then find reasons to overcharge, when you pay and decide to leave they charge a cleaning fee so they just made $40.00 to do nothing. Last thing I noticed the parking lot only had 3 other cars and it was 10pm and all other hotels were full. Stay at your own risk.

My husband and I stayed here for an overnight trip. It was just "okay". The staff is hard to understand because they don't speak fluent English, that made check-in kind of difficult. They said because they just re-opened they had a "cash only" policy which was annoying because I was expecting to have cash for spending money and use my card at the hotel. We were the only ones at the hotel staying that night so everything was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was only waffles so we ate out instead. When we went to take a shower the water had a brownish color when the water first came on, I guess since they had been closed all winter. Also there is no pool so if you were looking for a place with a pool this is not for you! All in all we had an alright experience. It's nothing fancy that's for sure, it wasn't a horrible trip, but next time I think we will try another hotel. The cost of the hotel was only $40 for one night so I guess we got a pretty good deal.

In spite of and in fact, due to, the negative reviews on this inn, I checked out the room before checking in. The room was neat, clean, free of any objectionable conditions. The walls are solid and no noise came in from other rooms. By being up on the side of a hill, there was no highway noise like so many others. The wifi was fine and nearby hotels also had their wifi open, giving a choice of signals. When a storm caused the power to go off briefly, a guest at the hotel reset the router for the manager who was unfamiliar with how to do it. If one wants a great free breakfast, please find another place to stay, but the low price available here allows anyone to eat where they please, all day, with the savings. This place is older, thus it even still uses "keys" for the rooms, but the fridge is small and ice cold. They are not turned on but takes little time to chill. No complaints here, at three times the price, other lodges leave a lot to be desired.
