My wife and I stayed in this cabin from Dec 17 to Dec 22. We had an amazing time. Well, let’s the get the bad part out of the way. We arrived at the booking station at 4:05 pm. The office hours are from 8am to 4pm. Our paperwork was in a drop box so no big deal. We call the check in number and begin our attempt to find the cabin. Well, the directions are not specific. We had no idea where to drive to. Now, we are lost on a mountain for at least 15 minutes. We finally ask a local where to go and we get a more specific direction than the company directions (BTW, the GPS did not register the location of the cabin). So, we are from south Louisiana. It’s flat here, really flat! The paperwork did not warn us about driving straight up the freaking mountain! Now, I am warning you about this drive! It is straight up the mountain. When you finally get to the isolated road the cabin is on, you will probably wet yourself a little. It’s a large enough for a medium sized suv alone! It’s not a two way road and it’s about an 1,000 ft drop straight down.
Good news: The cabin was amazing. The wife and I enjoyed our time on the porch watching the clouds roll through the mountain pass. The views from hot tub were relaxing. (BTW the higher elevation goes well with smoky mountain moonshine!)
We were very happy with our cabin. Everything was as described. We didn't have ANY issues with anything. Will be staying here again! The view is amazing and it isn't but 5 minutes away from the strip!!! Wish we didn't have to leave!!
