This is a family owned bed and breakfast that has passed from the parents to the two sons. If you have never considered a B&B as they are often referred to, I highly recommend it. It is a drastically different alternative to the same ole hotel that serves breakfast as you are made to feel like family versus nameless patrons filtering through. Eric was our first point of contact and has been my personal favorite person to talk to throughout our stay. He is personable, hard-working, and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Our first night, he was still at it until late into the evening and never once looked like he was ready to leave. When you are here, you have what feels like run of the place. Instead of specific areas that are considered guest areas, you can pretty much go anywhere like you would your own home. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfasts are wonderful, and the desserts are out of this world. My wife and I cannot say enough about this place. In fact, she is already planning our next visit! In one word, Excellent!

Room Tip: Certain rooms have jacuzzi tubs.

Nestled in the mountains of Tennessee is this absolutely fabulous Bed & Breakfast. It is family owned and operated and, thus, is a reflection of this wonderful family's charm and dedication to making each guest's stay a memorable one. My favorite part of our 4-night stay there in August 2013 was sitting on the wrap-around porch each morning drinking fresh-brewed coffee, enjoying the amazing mountain view, and smelling the tantalizing aromas of the elaborate breakfast being prepared for us.
In addition to having more to do than what we could accomplish in our 4-day stay (which included hiking in the mountains and visiting so many fun and entertaining venues in nearby Pigeon Forge), we both received massages on site from the owners' daughter-in-law who is a certified massage therapist. In fact, they were in the process of converting the entire basement of the B&B into a Spa while we were there. What was completed of this conversion truly set the stage for a complete experience in relaxation.
Each night when we'd return from our day's adventures, there would be a wide selection of "to-die-for" desserts to sample along with coffee and tea offerings. There is also a refrigerator and microwave available for guest use, which was nice for keeping left-overs from dinner and for chilling our wine.
Our only regret during our stay was that we couldn't extend our visit for longer than 4 days. Going back to Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn & Cottages is definitely on our list of adventures we want to experience again.
If you want to stay at a top-notch Bed & Breakfast, Blue Mountain Mist Inn should be at the top of your list!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Elkmont room and it was a perfect size! Because the house was built to be a B&...

Best place we stayed here years ago... I loved this place always friendly and also the food was exceptional as usual. Eric the Famous baker, always prepared a cake, cookie or brownie for us daily.. this is WHAT A BED AND BREAKFAST SHOULD BE LIKE, unlike others... I could give you all 1million stars... for everything... we love the soaps too...

gonna have to buy some more... thanks for making our 26th Anniv a pleasurable one.

Just one suggestion... in the Greenbrier room we were in, can you please put up a hand bar rail in the bath tub I had a hard time trying to get out of it... when I took my leisurely bath.. thanks!!

Room Tip: Greenbrier is good, hard beds.. if you like soft you better find somewhere else... the room has a ba...

Got a deal from Groupon and so glad we took the chance. This inn was lovely, the room (Fort Shields) was clean and decorated beautifully. The mountain view was amazing from the room, from the porch, from the dining room....everywhere. Breakfast is so yummy, but my favorite were the desserts. Each night there were at least three different homemade delights. Everyone is so friendly and eager to please. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for another anniversary getaway in October 2013 and it was just as enjoyable as our first visit, which was back in 1997. We stayed in the Lady's Slipper cabin and in the Shield's room and loved both. We will definitely be back and look forward to our next stay.

Just returned from spending another weekend at Blue Mountain Mist and the experience was just as good as the first time. Love this place and enjoyed meeting Sarah and Norman at breakfast on Sunday. Enjoyed "temptation station" and all the goodies served. Will be back for 3rd visit. So relaxing.

Room Tip: They are all great rooms.

Absolutely incredible place to celebrate your anniversary. My wife and I spent a long weekend celebrating our 40th at Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn. We stayed in the Trillium Cottage; very private, very comfortable, perfect for a romantic weekend. The cottage had a king size bed, a two person hot tub, living room, kitchenette, and large walk-in shower. The private back porch with the porch swing looking into the woods was a great place to unwind. We had a absolutely delicious breakfast brought to us each morning at the cottage. Everything was homemade. In the evenings there were freshly baked pies and cakes waiting for us. After the first night we made it a point not miss Eric's deserts. The buttermilk pie was great. If your looking for something special, very clean, comfortable, and with friendly, courteous service put this place on your radar scope.
