“Second Stay - Still Amazed!!”
Reviewed 7 September 2007

This is our second stay at Berry Springs. We were on our 10th anniversary trip. We stayed in the Honeysuckle Suite this time. It was an awesome experience. There was a hot tub on the balcony, and a view to rival most anywhere. Sue made her magnificient desserts. Breakfast was so awesome. The first morning we had eggs benidict (i think was the name) second morning, apple pancakes with maple apple butter syrup. They also served muffins and a fruit cup. Both were awesome. We enjoyed fishing in the bass and catfish pond. We fished a while, and then hadn't caught anything for about two hours. Patrick came by and provided my husband with some "special bait". He caught three fish right after that. That kind of made his day. There are so many things to do at Berry Springs, but my favorite thing about it is that it feels like home away from home. We enjoyed the fresh clean rooms. Melissa does an awesome job!! The nightly turn down service is great and a stress and worry free stay. You guys are the best! We will be back again!

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast. I would definitely recommend Berry Springs Lodge. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast each day was superb and we also liked the fact we could sit at our own table. Snacks were available throughout the day and evening desserts added a special touch. Lovely views of the mountains, quiet, yet very close to Pigeon Forge. My husband and I just took it easy. He even caught a bass fish in their pond. Hiking trails and bike riding are also available. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We would definitely like to come back again.

My husband and I took a motorcycle trip to a rally in Knoxville. I booked a weekend at Berry Springs so that we could ride between Knoxville and Gatlinburg. The ride was exhausting and HOT, HOT, HOT in 100 degree temperatures; However, Berry Springs was ready with cold drinks and snacks when we arrived! Berry Springs is beautiful, and the owners have thought of everything! We had a room with a hot tub on a balcony overlooking the hillside. The hot tub was much needed for soothing our tired muscles, and the view was a bonus. There was a library filled with movies for guests to watch in-room at no charge. You just help yourself. The same goes for books. Unfortunately, we slept through breakfast, but fresh baked desserts were available nightly at no charge. Again, you just help yourself. The fridge is full of soft drinks, juice, milk, and wine. The kitchen counter has stocked cookie jars, cereal, and crackers. There are bicycles, stocked fish ponds, a walking trail, a lovely common area with Satellite TV, internet access, and a small fitness room. There are checkers, binoculars for getting a closer look at the surrounding hills, magazines, cds..... anything you can think of, for a relaxing stay. They offer nightly turn-down service complete with a chocolate on your pillow and a filled ice bucket. The rooms are large and attractive with comfy beds, luxury bath products, and soft, fluffy towels. Berry Springs will make reservations to local attractions (we were able to get reservations to a sold-out show at a discount), offer recommendations, and offer directions (they offered us directions to Gatlinburg through an arts and crafts community so that we could enjoy a scenic ride). We LOVED Berry Springs, but I do have one tiny complaint. The walls are thin. They require quiet time between the hours of 10:00 pm and 8:00 but we were able to hear conversations coming from outside our room. That wasn't a problem, but we felt a bit worried about whether or not other guests could hear us.

  • Liked — Personal touches, cozy room
  • Disliked — thin walls

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Berry Springs and we really enjoyed our stay there. Patrick and Sue showed us great hospitality. The food was great. The view and land is beautiful. They have 2 ponds, walking trails, etc. There is even a library. They had a lunch packed into a cooler for us to take along to the Smokies for a picnic. We had a king size room with a fireplace. There was a deck off our room. Everything was very clean. They really accommodate you according to your needs. We don't eat pork and they actually substituted our bacon for breakfast with turkey bacon. It was very quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful deck off the kitchen with humming bird feeders and rocking chairs. You are only 10 mins. from Pigeon Forge and not far from Gatlinburg. You are probably 5 min. from Dollywood and Splash Country water park. There are no phones in the rooms, but there is one in the main entrance should you need one if you don't have a cell phone. There is also internet access. But, we wanted away from the phones and computers. It was just a great get away for us. I hope you will enjoy your stay there as much as we did.

  • Liked — All of it. The owners were great and the room and how peaceful it all was. The massage we had in our room. They contract out a spa and they came right to our room and we both had a massage. It was great.
  • Disliked — It was all good.

My husband and myself travel a lot. I make it my personal goal to find the best lodging available. I have become very picky and look for outstanding accomodations. Berry Springs Lodge was just that. Very beautiful in every way. I only wish we were just a few hours from the lodge. We look forward to our next stay. The food was wonderful and the lodge was spotless. Great job Patrick and Sue!

Just want to take a moment to say that Berry Springs Lodge Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay.
My sister discovered Berry Springs when we needed a place to stay for the Arkansas/Tennessee football games. That was when Berry Springs first opened up for business. We have been staying there annually every since. I think - we might have missed last year because of kids schedules.
Anyway, Sue and Patrick are wonderful hosts. Sue prepares delicious breakfasts each morning and desserts each evening. Patrick and Sue work tirelessly through out the year to make sure the lodge is as beautiful as the day they opened for the first time.
The rooms and complete lodge is extremely clean.
What you see in the pictures on their website is exactly the way it is when you arrive. These pictures have not been doctored. The view from the balcony is as beautiful as the picture on the website.
We enjoy the pond, bikes, haven't had a chance to walk the trails but always want to, we have enjoyed campfires by the ponds in the summer. It is our kids favorite place to go on vacation.
Not only do we take our vacations there, we have Thanksgiving there with my husbands family, and of course starting again this year the AR/TN football games.
Berry Springs just feels like a home away from home.
If we have time to get away, the only place we think of is Berry Springs.
