Our family had the opportunity to visit the Smokey Mountains over the holidays for the very first time. We could not be happier with our stay. Soaring High was perfect for our little family. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The cabin had wonderful little artistic touches like hand-thrown pottery and amazing wood carving throughout.
Our daughter was the first one in the cabin and was so excited to see the cabin was decorated for the holidays. The tree was really beautiful. We could see the care that went into decorating it.
We received a call from the management company during our first full day at the cabin to make sure everything was satisfactory. The gal we talked to (I am sorry I can't think of her name) offered a discount card since we were staying so long and it was easy to find the main office and pop in to pick it up. She also gave us some good suggestions for dining options.
Once we got the lay of the land... it was easy to find our way to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We really enjoyed the National Park, breakfast at Crockett's Breakfast Camp (get there early or be prepared to wait), and Ripley's Aquarium.
This was the perfect 7 day trip. Because it was the coldest Christmas in 17 years while we were there... not all of the outdoor activities were open, and we still had plenty to do.
Would certainly go back to the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this cabin again.
