LOVED it !!!
Very cozy ,felt like home .
My family chose this property as a halfway point between Michigan , Florida , Oklahoma for a family get together. Beautiful house with wrap-around porch with nice rockers and porch swing , Very private ,clean, Loved the river in front of the house ! The owner Diana was very kind and informative . Everything we needed , including washer and dryer ,dishwasher ,dishes ,cookware , games ,tv, etc...were there . The house is within 30 mins to all the touristy things . Would recommend 100% . also pets were allowed .
Will stay again !
Thank you Diana for allowing our family to stay in your beautiful farmhouse !!

“Tranquility of camping, Comforts of home, peace of country living, and minutes from attractions. Perfect.”
Reviewed 21 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The wrap-around porch with rockers is a great place to relax listening to and watching the river. The house was very clean, very comfortable, plenty of room to spread out or hang together. Everything you need to cook with is already provided, just bring food and you are set for your entire stay. Can't wait to come back again, want to try floating down the river as the water was too cold when we were there. My family has never stayed in such a perfect place. It's quiet, no neighbors you can reach out and touch. And yet its like 7 minutes or so from Dollywood. Property owner is extremely helpful with suggestions and routes, and very pleasant to talk to. Thanks to her tips we were able to enjoy the surrounding area without having to deal with all the traffic. We simply enjoyed every moment of our stay.

“OUR CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 2014”
Reviewed 31 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

had a wonderful time at this beautiful house, Diana was so accommodating with setting up a tree and decorating the house for us, it's a little off the beaten track but that's another good point, easy ways to get where you want with less traffic, hubby tried a little fishing while we were there, would like to come back in late spring or early fall, will be great

“Fabulous Stay!!!!”
Reviewed 1 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Spence Cove River Farmhouse. We had an absolutely wonderful time!!! The farmhouse was cozy, yet large enough for our party of 7 (3 adults, 4 children ages 4-11). My first concern before booking was the access situation. After a bad experience several years ago, this has become a major concern of mine. The road to the Farmhouse was no problem. It is one lane part of the way, but plenty of room for 2 vehicles to pass. There is only one small section that is only wide enough for 1 car, but there are plenty of drives to pull over. We had no problem whatsoever. My other concern was that there were only 2 T.V.s. This also was not a problem. With the WII and all the games provided, my 4 kids were entertained 24/7!!!! They also went fishing in the stream/river across the street! Diana also went the xtra mile and added Fox News to the cable lineup, which made a good vacation for my Dad!!!!!! Oh, and the Jacuzzi was huge and worked wonderfully. The sound of the Little Pigeon River flowing over the rocks made for a GREAT nights sleep! This made MY vacation!!!! Thank you Diana for allowing us to use your property for our last minute vacation!!!! We had a WONDERFUL time!!!

“Peace and tranquility in the mountains”
Reviewed 27 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Spence River Farmhouse is a peaceful, tranquil getaway on the banks of the river. The sounds of the flowing water over the rocks is very relaxing. We would leave the windows up during the night just to be lulled to sleep by the sounds even though the temperature was very cool at night. The farmhouse was a very well-kept rental that made us feel as if we were home in the country. The owners obviously take a lot of pride and diligence in providing a very high quality home away from home. All the amenities were well very much appreciated. It had ample bedrooms, full kitchen, 3 bathrooms, washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, TV's, grill, fireplace. it was a pleasure to deal with Diane Spence. We had no problems encountered on our visit. We hope to be able to return someday for another visit.

“Peaceful and Serene”
Reviewed 3 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed at Spence Cove Farmhouse while attending the National Quartet Convention in Piegon Forge. The farmhouse was recommended to us by friends who had visited earlier this year. We could not have been more pleased. Diana was great, very helpful, even offered to escort us back and to because of the parking congestion. It was so peaceful and quiet. The sound of the river at night and while sitting on the wrap around porch was wonderful. We cannot wait to go back next year. Thanks Diana! We'll see you soon.

“Peaceful Haven”
Reviewed 24 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Diana Spence is a great host and made sure we had a warm welcome. She was available to help with anything we might need. My Mom, brother and I wanted a quiet getaway from the hectic rush of our jobs. We found Spence Cove River Farmhouse a peaceful haven. The house is located on a small road where only local residents live. The river is just feet from the front of the house. It provides privacy and a quiet refuge but within 15 minutes we could be back on the main streets to choose between restaurants and entertainment. We chose fishing on the river in front of the house, scenic drives, good southern cooking, some home cooking and family time.

The house is large with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and everything you need for a great stay. There were 3 fishing rods provided along with some tackle. We bought some live bait and had a great time fishing. My favorite place other than the river was to sit on the front porch swing, drink coffee and listen to the river. At night, you could go to sleep to the cadence of the sound of the river and river frogs if you opened your window. We cooked at least 1 meal a day and the kitchen had everything we needed. We bought some locally made blackberry and blueberry wine and Italian pesto cheese at the Hillside winery and enjoyed that in the evenings.

There were a lot of thoughtful extras - blankets in the living room to curl up with, board games in the closet, an electric fire place with a heating option - all added up to a cozy and delightful stay. We are planning to come back. Thank you Diana for sharing your farmhouse with us! Yvonne, Betty and David
