I ask that you take the time to read the entire review. My family and I have been coming to Pigeon Forge for almost 12 years and we come several times a year and stay at several resorts. This is the fourth stay at Hidden Mountain and we stayed at cabin 4047. The cabin was greatly equipped and served our needs of easy entry to a tee. My uncle has trouble climbing stairs so the flat entry was great for him. The cabin was also large enough for our whole group. There was 10 of us staying. Check in and check out was a breeze and whenever we needed new towels or trash pick up, the staff was always quick and courteous. The pool area was great! My daughter loved the small pools and was intrigued by the waterfall in the big pool area. A few issues. First, when we first entered the cabin we immediately noticed a big ant problem and there was an issue with the A/C. A quick call to the front desk and those problems were addressed. Secondly, when we first arrived the cabin was extremely dirty. There were several small things that never looked like it was cleaned after the prior renters. Another issue when we first arrived, and this may not be a big deal to some, but we had ten people staying with three cars and parking was almost nonexistent. Luckily we were able to use a small gravel lot but it did make it an inconvenience when venturing out. Second, on the website the cabin is listed with a queen sleeper sofa. That is not the case. Although this cabin says it sleeps 12, that is not the case. I know cabin amenities change, but it would have been nice to have known that. This cabin, 4047 Camelot, could use some serious renovations and updates. The decor looked like it was thrown together and no flow. Three of the TV remotes did not work and none of the DVD players were hooked up. Another remote in the upstairs bedroom had batteries that had corroded and were held in by a piece of cardboard and tape. For the price point, I was disappointed.

The one big thing that I have trouble over looking was the second night there, my family decided to use the gas grill to cook dinner and enjoy a night in. This was quickly short lived as the grill caught on fire due to the amount of grease that was in the bottom of it. As I was trying to put out the flames, two of the fire extinguishers did not work. Although there was no damage and no one was hurt, this could have been a serious and dangerous situation. I personally feel that when we called to report what had happened, the front desk did not take the situation as seriously as needed. All in all, the stay at Hidden Mountain was okay. The staff was courteous and the location is great. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but definitely in another cabin.

We appreciate your recent visit with us. I am happy to hear that our staff was prompt in responding to the problems you experienced. We truly appreciate your feedback, and have addressed the issues you reported during your stay and on your comment card. The comment card is also forwarded to the owner of the cabin so that they can be made aware of suggestions and concerns. I am sorry you had issues with your grill. We are in the process of changing them all out to charcoal park grills for safety. I am very happy to hear that you will consider staying with us again, and I do hope that we will see you again soon.

Sincerely,
Serenity Kelly

We love Hidden Mountain Resort! We visit atleast twice per year and are never disappointed! Each cabin we have rented is clean and well appointed. The staff at Hidden Mountain East never disappoints! They are knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. The only issue we have ever had there is booking too late for holidays!! You have to get in early because they book up fast! Don't book anywhere else you will not be let down by Hidden Mountain:)

We've been going to Pigeon Forge for years and each year we take our six grandkids for a week. By far cabin 8027 (West) was the best cabin we have ever stayed in. Very well furnished and the kitchen was very well equipped. We cooked a lot and felt so at home in this cabin. The kids loved it and with the big yard they had plenty of room to play outside. This is the prettiest cabin we've ever stayed in. We feel like we have found our mountain home for sure! Thank you to the owners and the staff at Hidden Mountain. We've always had great service and great cabins but this one is top on our list. Love Pigeon Forge. They would rather go there than Disneyworld!

Thank you for visiting us recently at cabin 8027. That is a beautiful cabin, in a great secluded location. They owners will be thrilled to hear you enjoyed their kitchen so much. They love to cook, and made sure that there kitchen was overstocked with every culinary item imaginable. We look forward to serving you and your family again soon.

We had a family reunion the end of June 2014 - my family's cabin was infested with roaches! The toilets were not working properly either - maintenance crew was there 4 times, and still did not fix the problem. The roof leaked as well, and no one came by to pick up the garbage the whole time we were there, so it accumulated on the porch - inviting more unwanted critters around. After bringing up our concerns to the management, they just brushed us off and were rude. Not even an apology for such unsanitary conditions! I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Room tip: Don't choose any of them!

We appreciate your recent stay. 1) Our units are sprayed on a regular basis by a local pest control company. Pest control went to your unit during your stay per your request and did not see a single bug. He sprayed per your request, but did not see a single roach before, during, or after your stay. 2) I am aware that you had a stopped up toilet on the main level. The unit you stayed in was a 7 bathroom unit, and as was explained by our maintenance supervisor the one toilet that was backing up was because too much toilet paper was being used. They did address this several times during your stay because too much paper continually was used in the main level bathroom. 3) The leak issue was addressed. 4) Trash pick-up is available on a daily basis per your request. Our 24 hour on site office is always available to take any trash pick-up requests. Our manager did follow up with you, and addressed the issues as stated above. We appreciate your feedback, and have thoroughly addressed the issues you reported.
