“Great experience!”
Reviewed 27 September 2008

It was 4 years ago we were there on our honeymoon. It was just down the road from our cabin. It's remote location made it even more enjoyable. The scenery really adds to the experience. The food was pricey, but delicious. I can not wait to go back again next year!!

“Big prices, little food”
Reviewed 8 June 2007

My husband had seen signs for this place and wanted to eat there for his birthday. We had been told that reservations were recommended as it was a small restaurant and tended to get crowded especially on weekends. What a joke! There was only one other couple there the night we went. The place is remotely located and is hardly elegant. It's just a log cabin on the side of a hill.

Once we ordered our food, there was nothing to do but look out the window at...the trees. No music playing, nothing interesting on the walls. After a painfully long time we were finally served our meals. The food was OK - what there was of it - but they brought us these pitiful crumbs of bread to accompany our salads. We had to ask for more to go with the entrees. When I mean pitiful, think one slice of bread cut up into about eight pieces and being served only two and you'll get the idea.

You would think this place would have outstanding, freshly prepared bread, salad dressings, etc. The salad dressing we were served tasted suspiciously like the Kraft bottled dressing I've bought at Wal-Mart.

I don't know where this place gets the nerve to bill itself as being so exclusive, or charing its outrageous prices. Needless to say this was a big disappointment for a birthday dinner. We won't be back.
