Originally from la / ms recently moved to tn and I so missed the cajun cooking until we stumbled upon this awesome down home cajun restaurant. From the staff to the music you'll feel right at home. Just a short drive down wears valley. A must do for vacationers and locals.

“Cook needed”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 via mobile

We talked to the owner/cook and she hates cooking!!! Everything she said about cooking, restaurant etc was negative. Kitchen too hot, too small, not enough equipment, etc. why would anybody want to go to a place with so much negativity? They are open weird hours.

“Excellent -- completely worth the trip!!”

The food, staff, and low key atmosphere were a surprise treat. It's no wonder everyone raves about this restaurant.

“Great food, great service, great family......”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We ate at PawPaw's twice while staying in Wear's Valley on vacation. This restaurant is owned by a family from south Louisiana and features authentic Cajun food and real southern hospitality. The food was excellent. My family are picky eaters but they loved everything we had including the crawfish, the crab cakes, the hamburgers, the BBQ ribs, the gumbo, salads, and especially the bread pudding (on Fridays). The owner/family all work in the restaurant and they are fine people who made us feel welcomed and at home. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxing atmosphere.
