What a great dinner! The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. For being off the beaten path, Pearl's is a wonderful find.

Perhaps our expectations were set to at least those of the Pearl's Foggy Mtn. Cafe of the late 1990's-2005; but alas, not with this giant miss. New ownership and managememt exhibit uniquely inept attempt to produce a memorable dining experience. The resulting mediocre menue and even more detestible offerings and prep are, well, just embarassing.
Sad.....truly a missed opportunity. Indeed

We stopped at the new Pearls on Sunday while traveling-this is the first time since the reopening. I was a bit disappointed to see a really limited brunch menu, but I have to say my salmon was excellent, the scones were wonderful and we left happy that we stopped there. I want to go back soon when I can have dinner...glad to know it is up and running again!

When we stayed at the Edgeworth Inn this time we decided to try Pearl's. We had eaten there years ago and loved the renovation they had done since our last visit. Food and atmosphere were fabulous.

We dined here again for fall family weekend at Sewanee. Again, it was delicious. We all had the trout almondine, which is one of the best trout dishes we all have ever had. Excellent service and nice inside too. Great salads also!
