This hotel is 5 meters away from a beautifull white beach with dunes and trees.
The whole area is mesmerizing and is one of the nicest peace of land in Peneloppes.

The whole hotel is very tastefully designed and the furniture is great.
You get a bathrobe, and shoes... For welness and fitness facilities are provided too.
The family who peads this placeis soooooooo very nice!

Internet and parking are free and great too!

The hotel was super right on the beach, lovely pool, great atmosphere, good breakfast and the dinners we had at the hotel were top quality. On departure I left Jacket there and they went out there way to see it was posted back to me in the UK. We will be returning. :-)

Room Tip: Book a seaview

We travelled to Arkoudi which is in the western Peloponnese in Greece and stayed in the quiet and modern Almira Hotel. Given that Arkoudi is a bit out of the way we were nervous about what to find. Arkoudi is a small village with a lovely little beach (although it got a hammering from a bad storm on our last day. I hope it has recovered). You can walk over a rock to a long and sandy beach that has various accomodations alongside. Arkoudi has a few really nice tavernas at reasonable prices and the hospitality of the locals is welcoming. Arkoudi is not a haven for Brits, as the tourists were predominantly German, Italian, Greek or Russian, all of which were sociable. The Brits appear to set up camp in Zante or Kefalonia. We had a little car to get us from Araxos airport and found Arkoudi quite easily. It is set in a lovely part of Greece and we took a journey to Ancient Olympus (about 60km). The hotel had lovely rooms and the food in the restaurant was very good at a competitive price. For those who don't want hussle and bussle and don't mind being away for Brits it is a nice place to go. We loved it.

Room Tip: There are non that are noisy although some are on the streetside and some face the sea.

A great short holiday! Run by a greek family it is open 12 months of the year..warm and intimate, one feels at home immediately ..and so close to the sea and beach...it is very well built and so nicely interior designed one feels in a 5 star hotel...the family and staff are very helpful and polite as well...quite a find, so much so that we had to kick ourselves that we were not dreaming! Our room faced the beach and the view was simply stunning, especially at sunset over nearby Zante. However It was off season ( late October) so the kitchen only had pastichio ( macaroni cheese ) two nights running, but we could see other dinners liked it even if we passed up on the opportunity. Anyway, nextdoor we found a very nice tented bar on the beach with a full menu and interesting cocktails, so we were not bothered. We are definitely going back this year!

Room Tip: sea facing room

My wife and I wanted a relaxing beach holiday not doing very much at all - Arkoudi is ideal for this.

Almira is a fabulous hotel, it is right on the sandy beach that is protected by rocks at one end and the bay going around at the other, so is calm most of the time. The Staff are very friendly, hard working and all seem genuinely pleased to help you. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and we were supplied with clean towels and bed linen most days. We had a Premium double with sea view, this looks right along the beach to the west so gets sun all afternoon and great views of the sunset over the mountain on Kefallonia in the distance. The pool is great too with a jacuzzi/spa area at one end.
The breakfast was included in the price and was excellent, very fresh with hot bacon and sausages and various omelettes every morning as well as fresh fruit, cereal, croissant, bread rolls, toast, jam, honey, greek yogurt, coffee etc. The lunch menu is good, we had toasties once and the salads a couple of times. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was also very good and they give you a very generous discount as a guest.

Arkoudi is a very friendly small village with several tavernas and fish restaurants all of the ones we ate in were very good, the 'snack bar' at the top of the hill from the Almira is especially worthy of mention - excellent fresh food at very reasonable prices (always busy with locals which can only be a good sign!)

We had a great stay in Almira hotel and will return at some point, if you want an action holiday it's not for you, but for peace, quiet and relaxation I would highly recommend.
