So glad this museum was recommended to us by the young lady at the visitor's center in Townsend. The video was very informative and just the right length. The exhibits are interesting and the reconstructed village is excellent. We had spent the morning hiking and visiting places along the Roaring Fork Motor Trail and visiting this museum afterwards made for a great day!

Take some time to spend at the Heritage Center, Check to see when they have special activities for both the young and old. Time spend is not wasted even if the kids think it is.

The museum and video were very informative about the way of life for the people in the area. We were there on a very quiet day and had the place to ourselves. The buildings out back were interesting but it would have been nice to have guides to answer questions and give a more in-depth explanation of tools etc used at the time. Still a good value for the money!

Nice little museum. They've got a good video that covers the history of the area, particularly the immediate area around Cades Cove. They've got a lot of nice displays and a village built out back to show what the town would have looked like in the 19th century. Well worth the couple dollars that it costs for admission.

This center has a very informative museum along with a video of the local history and the folks who settled the area. Included with the admission to the museum is an interperative trail where they have preserved many original structures built by the early inhabitants including a stage stop, church, log cabin, saw mill and more.
