“Wonderful as usual”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

Annual vacation and everything was outstanding. We are never disappointed. Room clean. New flooring was very nice. Bonnie and Belinda were wonderful hosts. Missed seeing Terry but he was very busy. Absolutely love every trip here. Met our usual group from years past and brought a new coir with us and everyone had a great time. Will always be back and will never stay anyplace but here.

We stayed at the Riverstone Lodge in Townsend while attending a wedding for our niece. We actually stayed at one of the houses they have on the property. This house or modular home is right on the river with a deck over looking the river, Annie's Abode.
The price was fair, the house was clean, and comfortable. There is a large deck between the houses and the lodging rooms with a fire pit and rocking chairs all around. We met lots of nice folks while enjoying the cool mountain nights around the fire.
We only had a few minor complaints that we would like to mention.
1- we had to make the beds, sheets and pillow cases on all the beds.
2- the sleeper sofa was broke at the foot of it, plus there was no extra sheets for it like there was supposed to be. We did let them know about the sofa, they were not aware.
3- of the 3 bedrooms, a queen, a king, and a full, the king bed was a little saggy in the middle, but still comfortable.
4- they need to upgrade the tv to a larger flat screen for the distance it is from the seating.
Overall, we had a good time and would not hesitate to stay there again.
If we needed anything, all we had to do is ask.
We all so ate at the restaurant. The prices were fair and the food was good.

Clean and comfortable. Sparse and dated. Great price. Enjoying a nice long weekend at this quaint hotel. Everything you need in a hotel. No extras but well worth the price. I would have no problem staying here again. It's not the place for hotel snobs but just right for a tight budget and for a place to sleep while exploring the Smokies.

We were thrilled to find the Riverstone Lodge on our last-minute getaway to Townsend. Belinda and Karen were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and seemed recently updated. The campfire and rocking chairs were a special bonus. Another plus -- the lodge is just across the street from the start of the Townsend bike path, so you can ride from your room. This is a wonderfully maintained older property with many amenities, especially for the price. We loved it and are already planning to come back.

We stayed at Riverstone Lodge three times in 2013. The last visit was two weeks ago and we are going again at the end of this month (January). We enjoy it more everytime we go. Very clean, friendly, family owned. Close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and if you love Cade's Cove it's as close as you can get. The restaurant next door and the Steak House are great and they offer a discount for hotel guests. Can't wait for our next trip!

Great hotel at the entrance of the Smoky Mountains. Literally 1/8 of mile.
The family owners live on-site and are very nice. Rooms are clean with extended cable and free wifi. There is a nightly fire in a beautiful patio area with rocking chairs or porch swings and the river flows behind. There is a restaurant nearly attached with good food and if you bring your room key, they give you a discount. $4.35 for breakfast!! I stumbled upon this and ended up staying 2 nights. 15 nice miles thru the foothills to Pigeon Forge for all the attractions, but a great way to end the day at this place, for sure!!
