“Horrible food!”
Review of AJ's Hearth & Kettle Restaurant - CLOSED

We ate here because it was close to our hotel. The food was horrible and service was very bad. We couldn't get the waitress to give us more coffee. The food was very bad! Also, the place looked very dirty. Do not try it!

It is just an ok place to go for dinner....two had all you can eat catfish...it was ok but you do not get more sides with the extra fish....spaghetti dinner was good and plentiful...and vegetable place was good....but we will not return....just not good enough and environment was unpleasant.

This was close by our cabin and was open for breakfast, so we stopped in. We almost left due to the decor before we ate, but thought we'd give it a chance. The wooden table was sticky and so was the blurry, flattened carpet. We opted for the buffett; the bisquits were hard, the gravy was lukewarm, and the bacon was overdone and greasy. We won't ever go back.

bad food - service was barelty adequate and owner seems to not care at all - pop tarts in the room are a better choice

When am I gonna learn that breakfast buffets are nasty?!? The pancakes were tough (probably frozen and microwaved), the gravy was tasteless, the French toast sticks were also from the freezer, the sausage seemed like the brown & serve kind, and the grits were a little too soupy. I will say the biscuits were good and so was the bacon and eggs and tater tots. But, by far the worst thing at this place was the hair stuck to the jelly tray on our table!!! I still feel a little queasy just thinking about it! But even without the hair, the food sucked so bad, I would never go back.
