“Authentic Dude Ranch experience.”

Memorable vacation!!! Cowboys take on horse riding adventure customized to rider's experience. My daughter and I have been riding for years. Enjoyed the quarry trail. Guide found rare fossils! Accommodations comfortable. Lots of activities including chuck wagon breakfast and challenging trails. Food spectacular and served family style. Made friends along the way. Evening dancing and campfire stories by cowboys loads of fun! Definitely worth exploring'! Have been back already due to excellent time all around!

We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2013. I was travelling with my son and a friend and her son. We stayed in Rebel/Yank which are two ranches with an adjoining door. The rooms were spacious and clean.

We loved the view from the pool. The hills of Bandera!

I have to say we had the most amazing time here. If you want a relaxing family holiday this is the place to go. You have the option of horse riding twice a day. All the families eat in a group on long tables and benches so it's easy to mingle for this reason this is an ideal holiday if you are a solo traveller. The food is great, every single meal we had was good hearty home-cooked food. There was not a shortage of food, you won't go hungry.

Each evening after dinner there is an activity then everyone sits around the campfire toasting marshmallows. It's like one big happy family. I love the fact that this is a family run business. Clay and his lovely wife were very welcoming.

Kim on reception is a real sweetie. She was extremely helpful when we made our booking, helping us decide on which ranch to book.

On our last day Kim recommended a gun firing range nearby, this was the highlight of our trip to Texas. We live in London so it's not often you get an opportunity like this.

My son Niall didn't want to leave! We loved Dixie Dude Ranch and the staff. The kitchen staff were lovely and friendly and made time to chat and tell you about life in Texas. We LOVE Texas !! We can't wait to go again. We did a tour of Texas staying at Dallas, Austin, San Antonio & Fort Worth. Dixie Dude Ranch is remembered with very fond memories.

Everyone from the kitchen staff to the wranglers (especially Ringo!) to the reception staff were super nice and friendly. Thank you everyone at Dixie Dude Ranch.

What a wonderful ranch! I was a solo traveler and felt so warmly received and looked after. The food was so delicious and I absolutely loved the big lounge area. Two horse rides a day was great. Would been great for the horse rides to be at a bit faster tempo, but because the nature of the ranch is so peaceful, i ended up really enjoying the slow rides. Thank you to the ranch for the wonderful stay.

Very friendly staff and there are loads of options that you can get involved in. Fishing, horse riding, relaxing by the pool. A great place for a short break, I wouldnt stay longer than 3 days though as you will start to repeat yourself. The one disappointment was that as I was traveling with my girlfriend it was difficult to have a nice meal together, everything was done in a group. Otherwise it is amazing here and I would strongly recommend it.

Our family had five nights at the Dixie Dude Ranch in August. The horse riding was very tame but the rest of the activities made up for it. The kids loved the pool, the after dinner entertainment and the kittens in the laundry. The staff were friendly and hospitable, the food was fresh and tasty with no trouble catering for a gluten free diet. Lots of friendly guests and camaraderie. A great introduction to Texas

This was my second year going to the Dixie Dude Ranch and I loved it even more this time. Everyone is nice and show great hospitality. I will be going here next year again. It is a great place for kids to run around and for parents to relax and enjoy themselves. The horse rides are calm and fun.

My Wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Dixie Dude as part of a road trip around Texas. We had never really ridden before so weren't sure what too expect but we needn't have worried as the rides we took, 5 in all, were done at a walking place and we were asked each time whether we wanted to go on a fast or slow ride. The wranglers are very attentive ( ours was Tyler) and you can tell your safety is their number 1 priority. As for the rides themselves, they take you out on various routes into the Country and it the scenery really was spectacular - it is so peaceful. All you can hear is the sound of the horses hooves on the rough ground and it's easy to imagine yourselves in one of the old Western movies.

In addition the staff at the ranch are probably the friendliest bunch of people I have ever come across. They all seem so happy to be working at the ranch and can't do enough to make your stay an enjoyable an rewarding experience.

Al in all a we had a great time and we left wishing we could stay longer but much more relaxed and at one with the world than before we arrived.
