“Great Time”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

What a great place and a great feather in the hat of Blanco and Texas! We took a tour during their 16th annual anniversary party. The place was rockin with what looked like about 5,000 plus fans in and out thru out the day.
The tour was both very interesting and very informative. They did several tour that day but we were lucky enough to have their official Brew Master administer ours.
Can't say enough good things about this place and the owner and crew...it's a winner all the way.

“Up close and personal!”
Reviewed 6 September 2012

We've toured distilleries in Scotland, wineries in the major regions of France and California, and large famous breweries in Europe and the US and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and explanation of this small brewery. This is a chance to see a local place in the expansion phase. Our guide was one of the top brewers and although the chemistry sometimes exceeded our comprehension, he had a great sense of humor and willingness to answer questions. This place is pushing the boundaries, and it samples those varieties in the tasting room. Folks looking for a manicured Napa-type beer experience and lots of free beer should go elsewhere. Come on, it's the Texas Hill Country! But if you want to learn about the process of beer making, the pains of experimentation and expansion, and bottling and canning equipment along with barrel aging....well come on down!

“Very good beer in a rustic setting”
Reviewed 12 August 2012

Very good beer... fun on their Friday afternoon tastings. It's down a dirt road/parking lot without many places to sit. But, it's kinda fun to stand around with other beer tasters in a rustic setting.

Skunky smelling beer; taste is ok; sitting on picnic tables under a shade tree is nice.

“A bit of a disappointment”
Reviewed 15 June 2012

For the advertising of the brewery's special tours today, we were not very impressed due to the lack of (what we felt) simple planning. The road and parking lot extremely dusty from limestone. . No place to sit and enjoy a brew except for 2 picnic tables. Grass not even mowed around the premises. Just not an appealing place for us. Tasting room had 1 staff member who was very pleasant and informative. We didnt stay for the tour We had just driven down from Johnson City after enjoying their brewery and found it much more pleasant.
