We have eaten here upon occasion. The fair is good. You order from a menu like fast food and your food is brought to your table. You pick up your own tableware, drinks and condiments from a side area. If you want more coffee you get it yourself. Pricing is reasonable. They do have lunch and dinners, though we have not eaten there. There is also a store on premises for some food items as well as gift items.

Flagstop Cafe in Boerne has been a stop for locals for years. Some love breakfast, others swear by the burgers, but when I am in the mood for fried chicken, this is the place. They even have a drive thru window. The chicken is crispy, moist and never greasy. Don't let the fact that this restaurant is part of a gas station dissuade you. As long as you're going fried, be sure to get the fried okra too.

Looks like a small dive but you walk into homemade heaven. Fresh avocado in my breakfast burritos and tasty cinnamon rolls. Fresh coffee and right off of the highway. Try it!

Although the restaurant is located in a gas station along IH-10 headed into San Antonio from the West, don't let the looks deceive you. The restaurant was established in 1986 and still carries that atmosphere. You place your order before you seat yourself. The order taker was very friendly and patient. We arrived around 11 am so I was torn between breakfast or the cheese burger and notorious onion rings. My boyfriend chose breakfast and I the burger. You can see the cooks at the griddle right behind the counter. It smells delicious. Both of our meals were very good. My burger was a 3 napkin kind. You self serve your drinks and condiments. They also have a drive thru. If you are in the area I suggest you give it a try.
