Very enjoyable experience. Horses are well maintained and great on the trails. Willie the owner is an experienced trainer and knows his horses. Hope to do it again.

“Great, inexpensive trail riding experience!”
Reviewed 9 March 2013

Willy has high quality horses, he provides great instruction, and the trails are excellent. We saw vistas and went over terrain that made you feel as if you were in an old western movie. Great experience!

“Best Trail Ride Ever”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

My wife and I are in our late 60s and we enjoy trail rides as we travel throughout the US in our RV. By far this was the best experience we have ever had from Alaska to Florida. The horses were in excellent condition, very well trained, and our guide was a gentleman and understanding of the different levels of riding skills in our five members. He treated his animals kindly but was also firm.
I would recommend this Trail Ride experience without reservation. This is a top flight operation and is just a 40 minute drive from San Antonio.

“Basic and Great - where ex racehorses have a second chance”
Reviewed 30 October 2012

Haven't been on a horse for years, so you can imagine the trepidation when our trail guide Harry introduced me to an ex thoroughbred that allegedly goes by the name of Litigation - my wife's horse carried the marginally better moniker of Spirit.
As a re-introduction to horse-riding, it was a great experience. Harry took the trail slow, recognising we needed time to re-adjust. But what a peaceful place. The ride was comfortable, and if any regrets that after we had our confidence, a faster pace would have suited.
A bonus for us was spying a huge buck deer as we were leaving - he was a beauty, and a real trophy for the Texas Hills - trust the only thing he gets shot with is a camera.

“Excellent ride!”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

Wanted to give a job candidate from New England a taste of Texas, and thought a trail ride would be just the thing to unleash his inner cowboy. However, my first impression upon driving up the rutted dirt road was: Is this the right place? It doesn't look exactly like an establishment, but don't let the appearance fool you. Willie was a great guide, and the retired thorooughbreds were fun to ride. It was interesting to hear about each horse's racing accomplishments and pedigree. The scenery was spectacular. This is a relaxed trail ride, so we didn't do anything faster than a short trot, but it was really fun. Would definitely go back. Bathroom facility is a very clean porta potty. Hand sanitizer is available.
