On our way back to our hotel in bouerne, in search of GF foods, my app pointed to the limestone grill, so away we went! A very nice experience although a little quirky. Upon arriving the inn is very inviting, well lit and good signage to the limestone grille, which is directly off the lobby. Beautiful furnishings, deep, rich woods, antique furnishings. A very nice feel as you walk in. At the restaurant we do not have a reservation so we are offered a table in the bar, which is fine with us. A small table in the corner, I ask for a GF menu but find instead they just know what is not GF, which works for me. The servers seem very busy and are not as attentive as I would have liked, but the food is good and it is relaxing. Our server never cracks even a small smile but is helpful with advice on what to eat and drink and the entire time I have the feeling that the restaurant is trying to close and be done for the night. We elect not to have that second glass of wine, and cash out and head back to our hotel. Maybe another night we can try earlier as it is 9pm by the time we leave and the hours stated for closing is 930. Obviously the staff was ready to go home!

Ate a light dinner here in the bar area. I had the ahi tuna salad, it was sashimi style and really alot of tuna, the dressing was nice and light and not overdone. Spouse had the pistachio chicken with mashed potato- this was really really good, moist and tender. I would give this a try for sure...We enjoyed a nice glass of wine, the house wines are half priced on tuesdays!

Limestone Grill is located in the Ye Kendall Inn which is across the street from the Plaza. The food is good and the wine list extensive.

If you are looking for a date night type of place, or you are looking to impress some clients, the Limestone is the place to go when in Boerne proper. Located in the Ye Olde Kendall Inn, if a friend of mine hadn't "let's go there," I probably would have never went. Food is great. Lunch will run about $15 or so (if there is no alcohol). Dinner is more like $50 a person (again, more if you utilize their full bar or impressive wine selection). If you head there for lunch, try the prime rib sandwich. Wow. Just...wow.
