“A very cool experience!”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

I was invited to join four of my grandchildren in a tour of the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham, Texas. Having lived in Texas for most of my life, I don't know why I have not already done this but my grandkids taught me something. The tour was guided by a young man who knew the answer to every question he was asked plus some info nobody even thought about asking. The creamery is an impressive operation and would certainly be worth the price of admission but then they throw in a bowl of ice cream at the end of the tour that puts the whole event over the top. I would absolutely recommend this tour to everyone with a little time available and a sweet tooth craving something cold and delicious.

“Top notch Texas hospitality”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

Wonderful place to visit. The Ice cream is the best. I wish it was sold in the grocery stores in Utah!

“Ice Cream at the end...”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

The tour was good. Standard factory stuff. Nicki our guide did a fine job of keeping it light but informative. The best part is the end, where the icecream parlor awaits.

“Cool plaace for kids!”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

This is a great day trip for kids and adults: inexpensive, informative and fun. The drawbacks are few, but important: (1) only open on weekdays (NO WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS), (2) it can get crowded so get there early or be prepared to wait for upto and hour for the actual tour which takes about 40 minutes. Free dish of ice cream comes with the tour fee, but you can purchase a generous serving for only $1 if you want to skip the tour.

“Always Fun”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

We have been to Blue Bell several times through the years and it is always fun and always informative. The attendants and docents are smiling and seem to enjoy their jobs and visitors, which is refreshing. Their visitor areas are also well done with fun, historic marketing ads and pictures which tell the family story of Blue Bell. The only thing change that I wish they would rethink is the elimination of the Blue Bell film in the theater. That was a great way to start the tour and gave the visitor a wonderful story to make the plant more personal. But, that being said, I still highly recommend the visit, not to mention the wonderful free ice cream in the parlor at the end! Blue Bell is still Number 1 with our family!
