The food here is okay - mostly fried bar-type food. The nachos are good. The real reason to come here is to have drinks with your meal. Canyon is dry so you have to fill out a UniCard application to buy alcohol. The food seems a little over-priced for what you get.
They have a back room for meetings. It has a smart set-up and is free as long as your group has a meal there.
There is a high turn-over in wait staff so do not expect your server to know much more than you do. It seems like most of their food is bought packaged and they just reheat it on site so there is not much customization available nor do they know if items are gluten-free, etc.
They have drink specials that vary by day and a progressive happy hour most of the time. It sits between the two motels in town and so is easily accessible to travelers, though a lot of locals come here, too, for the drinks.
