Location to Canyon Lake, New Braunfels and surrounding hill country was perfect. Rooms were very clean, decorated as if you were home. all amenities you needed. excellent breakfast and the BandB owners were friendly. Our bed was comfy, room was cooled perfectly at night. Very peaceful! There were deer and alpaca on the property you could feed too! We will be back!

We found this place after looking all over Texas for something to do before a busy summer of work and training. We had an absolute blast. There is a great variety of people that come here. Couples were of all ages. It was relaxing to watch and feed the deer. Having a private hot tub was a very nice amenity too. The breakfast was to die for! I loved Diane's cooking so much I bought her cook book and can't wait to start baking! We will definitely recommend this to our friends.

We had gotten married in the hill country and wanted a nice cozy place to have our honeymoon. We'll Biscuit Hill met our needs. We stayed in the Captain Bay Suite and it was decorated perfect for us since we both like the water. From our balcony we could see Canyon Lake and could relax o in the country air. And of course the gourmet breakfasts were to die for. You will leave very spoiled. What you see on their website is how it will be when you arrive.

If you want to be close enough to everything while still being at the Lake, this is a better choice than something on the Northside of the Lake or a B&B deep in one of the residential neighborhoods. Nice rooms and good food with good restaurants and services within a mile. Easiest access to San Antonio and New Braunfels from the Lakes.

The house is beautiful with a beautiful view. The sunset was breath taking. Bed were soft and inviting. Animals and deer roaming round the grounds. Quiet and romantic. But above it all the food is too die for. Diane is an amazing cook. I loved every single item she prepared. Would go back in a heart beat.

We had a wonderful time here. It was difficult selecting a room beforehand, but we decided that the difference in price between the rooms reflect amenities that matter, and I think that is generally true. We chose the Captain’s Bay suite, and were not disappointed. The large balcony is screened quite well with tea rose bushes and a thick fence separating it from the Highland suite, making it pretty-private. The suite is spacious, and the location in the house (a corner) is rather secluded: situated above the kitchen, so hints of the aroma from breakfast preparations welcomes the day. The bathroom is large. The TV in the room is small; linked to Netflix and other channels, (not a big deal to us.)
The breakfasts were fabulous! We were alone the first day of our stay, and Pattie cooked our breakfast from the Biscuit Hill gourmet cookbook. We sat at the little table in the kitchen nook and talked with her while we ate. She had great advice about activities and shops in the area. The next morning it was a full house, and Diane and Dean were thoughtful about seating arrangements—putting the couples who are most alike near each other. I am not a talkative person, but really enjoyed socializing with the other guests. Diane and Dean greeted us by name each time we saw them—and had great answers to our questions. They really love their home and being hosts—and it shows in everything that they do. The breakfast with everyone was delicious, with a variety of foods to choose from, buffet-style. They encouraged us to eat as much as we wanted, with plenty left-over.
The two homes are situated on two acres. Other than the extensive decks around both homes, the pretty gardens, the alpaca pen, and parking areas (an assigned parking space for each room,) the rest is wooded naturally. The deer come for handouts in the mornings. I couldn’t get them to eat from my hand, and they were a bit skittish, but it was fun to see them at close range.
