“Fun place for a girls' afternoon”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

Downtown Carrollton has just enough shops (antique and miscellaneous) to make for an interesting afternoon. And there are four good restaurants, Wonderful World of Cooking, Agave Azul, Babe's and The Rainbow Grill.

“Fun for a lazy afternoon stroll”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

This is a good place to go for an afternoon to just browse shops for fun. The candy store there is especially fun and is a great place to find vintage candies and foreign imports you can't find many other places. Lots of public parking makes this tucked away little town-center accessible. Feels like a nice piece of Small-town America in the midst of the mega-metropolitan DFW area.

“Great for daytime shopping”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

The area is great on a nice day for strolling. You can sit and dine or snack on the go. The great mom and pop shops offer unique browsing and window shopping but beware, they sometimes close in the middle of the day w/o notice.

Parking is decent and they host fun events in the spring/summer that are always staffed by Carrollton police and well organized.

“First Chocolate Walk”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

It was such fun to visit the shops and meet people during the Chocolate Walk. Chocolate treats and sips of wine were great pick-me-ups for shopping.

“Old Downtown Carrollton”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Very quaint and friendly. Nice shops and restaurants. Babes Restaurant is a must. The old town square is a nice place to walk. It has a gazebo in the middle of the square.
