Beautiful resort with loads of amenities...We enjoyed the adult swimming pool and hot tub...which was a respite from all the families and kids...this can be great for a romantic getaway, girlfriends getaway (they have a spa) or a great family trip with your kids...you can walk or hike along the Colorado river, rent bikes, swim the rambling river pool, play horseshoes, pool, darts, shuffle board, roast marshmellows around the giant fire pit or just relax in the oversized rockers...the list goes on and on...there`s also golf! Staff is amazing...all the way down the line...so helpful and courteous! A special "shout out" to our young man, Emillio, that served us at the pool! Food can be a little expensive but they have a nightly buffet that is amazing and good value! Hotel can be pricey, but you can find a deal on line. We have been here as a couple 3 times and continue to enjoy our stay here each time!

Room Tip: Third floor...quieter and we had a balcony overlooking butterfly garden...try and ask for an upgrade...

Beautiful place with great service. Something for all ages to do. Spa services are terrific.
Food is expensive, but the quality was always very good. It does seem a little crazy to charge for some of the extra activities. (star gazing for example)
This is our 4th year and our kids and grandkids love coming here!!!

Room Tip: We like first floor Junior Suite with connecting room. Easier with a dog and little grandkids

The team at Spa Django will be thrilled to know that you enjoyed your spa services and the culinary staff will be overjoyed that you found the food to be delicious. Thank you for your feedback regarding additional charges for select activities, like stargazing with the park astronomer. We will be certain to share that with the team for thoughtful consideration and evaluation. We are delighted that you choose to return to "the pines" again and again for family fun - and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back very soon!

Tucked away in a hill and lush area, this resort offers something for everyone: golf, spa, hiking trail, horseback riding, fine and casual dining, lazy river and many water features including an adult pool. Very family oriented!!! But as a couple we enjoyed.

We were at a conference at the hotel last week. The hotel is beautiful as are the grounds. The rooms including the bathrooms were large and spacious. The pool was amazing. The golf course was challenging but fun.

The only issue was the wifi which did not work very well in the room and not at all in the conference facility. Given the remoteness of the location from the road, cell phone signal was poor so better wifi is important when there for business. I called the Hyatt help desk for the wifi and they could not solve the wifi problem. Otherwise, this was a great resort.

This place is nice but they charge you for everything even to go look the stars ($5) I am not kidding . Food is too overprice , not many free activities as they said on the website . We ate barbecue the first night and they charge us $3.99 for service charge, when we had to get our own drink and food . The bike trails are maybe 0.05 mile ,they give you an old bike maybe from the 60's . Not much to do in here. I can go on and on on about thing we didn't like .

Hello. On behalf of the entire team at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback through this review. Your thoughts and evaluations of our property mean a great deal to us and each sentiment is taken very seriously. We are sad to know that you were disappointed in a few of the extra costs associated with activities and amenities at the resort. While we do have a full roster of complimentary activities - like sponge tag, painting in the pines, juggling lessons, wiffle ball, Texas-size soccer and many more - we also have offerings that carry additional charges to cover special staffing and equipment needs. Stargazing is a great example of that: This special activity is led by a McKinney Roughs Park Astronomer - so its much more than simply gazing at the heavens, its also about learning the ins and outs of the galaxy from someone who has a background in astronomy - Wow! We sincerely appreciate knowing your thoughts about the service charge for the barbecue, and the pricing of the food. Your words will be shared with our managing committee for thoughtful review and consideration. We are so thankful that you chose to stay with us and are sad that your experience did not exceed your expectations. Our hope is that you will make plans to return to give us a second chance so we may improve upon your first impression and provide you a lovely, memorable experience.

An excellent get away where you are in the middle of nowhere. Plenty to do and see but no noise as you are up in the hill country. The hotel is well over a mile from the main road, there are lots of horse riding trails and the whole atmosphere is one of sophisticated style and elegance

Room Tip: Ensure you have a good GPS as at night the turn off for the drive is easy to miss, and the drive is...

our family of 5 (three kids under 7) had a wonderful time at Lost Pines. The hospitality and amenities were first rate. The pool is great for families. The restaurants were fairly priced for being on property. They also include complimentary bike rentals along with marshmallow roasting and family movies in the evening. The little things are done right: free washer/dryer and soap. We will be back and we highly recommend for a family vacation.
