This is a beautiful old building. The Hotel Faust was built in the 1880s. It was originally an old stage stop and then was expanded to a full hotel when the railroad came to Comfort. It was operated as a hotel by the Faust family until 1946. In the 1990s it was converted into a B&B and this year reopened under new owners.
This is our second stay at the Faust and our first stay under the new management. Chris has done a great job giving the Faust a much needed renovation. All of the rooms have been remodeled with a newer more modern look. The room we stayed in was located on the second floor with outside access along the porch. The room had comfortable new bed, new carpet and wood floors and a new modern bathroom. Everything was clean.
The historic building has been nicely restored and has great second floor walkways and seating areas and a historic gazebo from the same architect that designed the original building and addition.
The stay includes a great breakfast served in a small building in the back. Chris does a great job with breakfast and making everyone welcome.
We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again soon.More
