“Great girls' trip!”
Reviewed 5 February 2014

We loved staying at this wonderful hotel/B&B. Charming host, lovely room/cottage, and delicious breakfast! The ambience is very welcoming and quaint. Beds were very comfortable... good night's sleep with nice peace and quiet. Lovely setting overall and very convenient to everything in town. We easily walked to shops, restaurants, wine tasting room, and local tavern. All very nice!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying in the log cabin. It was very comfortable and affords a wonderful quiet retreat to enjoy. We look forward to returning.
I recently visited Halifax, Novia Scotia and New England for three weeks. I loved Hotel Faust as much as Radisson on the harbor of Halifax, Novia Scotia. Hotel Faust now joins my list of favorite places to stay.

Hotel Faust is excellent in every way! Eleven other girlfriends and I stayed at the Hotel Faust for a reunion last weekend and we were beyond pleased with the hotel and the hospitality of its owners, Chris and Kevin. The rooms are all lovely, clean, comfortable and modern, yet the historic flavor of the hotel is preserved. The porches, parlor and courtyard gave us many choices of places for our morning coffee and evening happy hours. The gourmet breakfasts are included in the price of the room and are delicious and hearty. Chris and Kevin could not have been more friendly or accommodating to our needs and requests. By the time we left, we felt that they were part of our group. Comfort is a lovely town. My friends and I will certainly return and will most definitely stay again at the Hotel Faust.

Room Tip: The log cabin (Ingelhuett) is lovely, comfortable and has a wonderful soaker tub!

This is a beautiful old building. The Hotel Faust was built in the 1880s. It was originally an old stage stop and then was expanded to a full hotel when the railroad came to Comfort. It was operated as a hotel by the Faust family until 1946. In the 1990s it was converted into a B&B and this year reopened under new owners.

This is our second stay at the Faust and our first stay under the new management. Chris has done a great job giving the Faust a much needed renovation. All of the rooms have been remodeled with a newer more modern look. The room we stayed in was located on the second floor with outside access along the porch. The room had comfortable new bed, new carpet and wood floors and a new modern bathroom. Everything was clean.

The historic building has been nicely restored and has great second floor walkways and seating areas and a historic gazebo from the same architect that designed the original building and addition.

The stay includes a great breakfast served in a small building in the back. Chris does a great job with breakfast and making everyone welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again soon.

Room Tip: There are four rooms located in the main building, two located in the building that serves breakfast...

We stayed at Hotel Faust last weekend, and I already can't wait to go back. Not only were the owners top notch, but everyone we met in town was wonderful. Such a great community. Our room was super clean, and I don't impress easily with regard to cleanliness. Felt like we were staying with friends.

WOW! What an awesome place to relax and take a step back into time with the overall feel of this beautifully remodeled but with the old feel hotel. Our wedding party had booked rooms in Borne close by but the hotel over booked so Hotel Faust was found and owners Chris and Kevin welcomed us and made our stay VERY enjoyable and informative. The Hotel and city of Comfort itself with all of its antique stores, shops and small restaurants and cafes was like taking a step back in time to a place of wonderful travelers and locals alike. Centralized for the wedding in Borne and the reception at Happy Hughes Ranch in Comfort. Everything is in walking distance from the Hotel and if you don't want to leave the Hotel the courtyard area was relaxing itself. Chris and Keven made whatever we needed easy and relaxing. Only suggestion would be to have higher grade of flavored types of coffee and creamers in rooms for people that wake up early and want to relax on porches or courtyard prior to BB dining. Great place we found by accident and will definitely return to in the future. Good job guys! Keep up the great work!

The Hotel Faust in Comfort is such a wonderful old hotel! So much history and charm, but modern and very comfortable. My friend and I took a much needed girls' weekend to Comfort and fell in love with this charming little town. Chris Sokol-White (the owner of the hotel) is very knowledgable about Comfort and it's history. He was a fantastic host. Breakfast is served on the weekends - I'm talking - homecooked, country breakfast...complete with eggs, sausage and either biscuits or blackberry pancakes! The rooms were lovely and no detailed was spared, even down to the make-up remover in our bathroom!

We loved sitting outside in the rocking chairs with our coffee enjoying the mornings and evenings outsite on the porch. Comfort also has great dining and shopping (The Plaid Goat was a favorite of ours). It is a 5-10 minute drive to 2 wineries that offered live music and a place to sit under the trees and enjoy a glass of wine!

We did NOT want to leave! I would recommend the Hotel Faust to couples that want to get away for a romantic weekend, a friends getaway, or even a trip by yourself for some R&R.

Thank you Chris and Kevin Sokol-White for putting so much thought into every detail and making this an unforgettable weekend for us!

Room Tip: All the rooms were wonderful. We stayed in the Faltin Suite. Beautiful!
