“A great little getaway”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We came down for a weekend on the spur of the moment and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the property was. We stayed in the Garden Haus, which was a separate little cottage on one end of the property. It was nice for us, having small children, as we didn't have to worry about bothering other guests noise-wise. (It has two sides which can be connected by a door between, and we used both - one for the two of us and kids, and the other for my mom. That was perfect - just enough togetherness!). The property is designed to encourage relaxation and time outdoors - lots of strategically placed chairs, hammocks, etc. It was fun for the kids to explore the creek behind and the property and find bird houses, fig trees, butterfly-attracting bushes, etc. The weather was unfortunately quite hot - during spring or fall it would probably be lovely to spend the whole day outside. We did enjoy the pool which was sparkling clean. My one small quibble is that the breakfast was all right - I wouldn't quite call it gourmet - but it was tasty and there was plenty of variety for everyone to find something to their liking.

As a nice bonus, we found that the pizza place across the street and the High Street Cafe about half a block down we're both quite good. There are several interesting little gift shops, too.

All in all we really enjoyed our mini-getaway and will definitely be back.

This was our third trip and once again I give it an A+.
Shane does such an awesome job up keeping Meyer. The views and relaxing atmosphere are over and above exceptional. Great breakfasts are served each morning. We love the location because it is close to San Antonio and beautiful drives through hill country.
We ate at welfare cafe and enjoyed it also. Looking forward to returning again!

Room Tip: We love the cypress creek cottage and the creek house cottage...both have screened in porches with g...

To be honest, I have never been a fan of the traditional bed and breakfast. I guess that is why I liked this place so much.

Love the fact that there are so many options on rooms. The grounds are beautiful. Amenities not usually found in a B&B. How many B&B's have a pool? This one does, and a very nice one at that.

This place would be great for a family reunion or group outing. We can't wait to go back with friends and family.

This place is peaceful. Wish we had more time to just enjoy the grounds and relax. So may great places to sit, read or nap.

If you like meeting the owners at a traditional B&B and being more cozy with the other guests than this might not be the place for you. If you want a cool, retro resort type feel, then make your reservations.

Room Tip: Comfort Pizza just a block away is a good outdoor place to eat a yummy pizza.

We stayed overnight while attending the high school graduation on June 6th. Our room was great and the outdoor surroundings were awesome. We saw deer in the field behind our room in the morning. We would recommend this B and B for couples and/or families. Breakfast choices were somewhat limited but the room more than made up for it.

My husband and I stayed with family in the Creek Haus Ste 161. All of the rooms were clean and nicely adorned. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. Breakfast was amazing and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay the the Meyer Bed and Breakfast on Cypress Creek. We stayed in the Ellen Berger, Suite 312. It was very spacious, and we were glad to have a nice sized bed for our son, who is visiting us. Room was lovely and spacious. It was very convenient to travel to Fredericksburg...22 minutes. They have a fabulous pool, too! Very quaint...the entire town. I was not impressed with the breakfasts...but they were adequate. I'm a bit of a foodie...I did enjoy the fresh fruit each morning, The people who work there are quite friendly and nice...I'd stay there again...perhaps next time for a wine tour?

Room Tip: I wish that I could have seen some of the other rooms!

We stayed here for 3 nights on Memorial Day weekend. Our second time to stay here. We enjoyed our stay and our room which is one of the old rooms which has its own screened-in porch. The breakfast was not as good as I remembered from the previous stay (which was 5 years ago). I expected more of a home cooked southern breakfast but not so much had an egg quiche version everyday. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was disappointing. The people there are very nice and accommodating but not sure I would go back just because of the breakfast. It is a bed and breakfast and I really expect great food at a bed and breakfast.
