I stayed at this hotel in 2013. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette,a sitting area and a closet. From the room, I had a beautiful view of downtown Dallas. All the major tourist attractions - John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza, Dallas World Aquarium, Dealy Plaza, Old Red Museum - were only a few yards away. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. If you want to do sightseeing, this is the best place to stay!

Ended up downtown, so I'd be at the same hotel as my sister. What a great choice! Neither one of us has stayed here before. The staff was what made our stay memorable. They were kind, friendly and very helpful. We felt like family. They knew the area, as well as their own hotel. The valet staff was enjoyable to work with. We had nice comfortable beds and the rooms were quiet for sleeping. Compimentary breakfast included fresh fruit chunks, hot steel cut oatmeal, great coffee and other hot entree's.

Room Tip: Ask for city view, slightly more, but you can see the office building lit at night with neon accents...

I am an exclusive Marriott user. I had the chance to stay there this past weekend. It was close to where I needed to be and it sounded as if it was surrounded by lots of places. It was across the street from the aquarium. I used the valet parking because using the public parking meant I would have to pay every time I went in and out. I left quite a bit and the valet guys were very gracious about it. At first we had a slight issue with our room, but it was corrected immediately. I want to give a big shout out to Miss Dee Ann who worked hard to make sure I was comfortable, happy and satisfied with my stay. I also spoke with the manager Matt who also makes sure the Marriott brand and reputation is upheld. Would I stay again, yes.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor and a view of the city.

We stayed at this hotel over the July 4th holiday. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. We decided to pay a bit extra for a corner room with a city view. I highly recommend doing this. We had two beautiful and different views of downtown Dallas, including the Reunion Tower.

The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, especially the valet attendant, who took the time to explain the off-site parking options to us and make his recommendations.

The area surrounding the hotel is a bit questionable, but we didn't go out much after dark, so it was fine.

All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

It was a good free stay on the way to the airport. The car parking seemed complicated. We never found the lot so we had valet park it. Valet would park it in another parking lot that wasn't secure. Did have a guard at night but not fenced in the front desh told me. So had to have them bring the car back because we forgot somethings. They were very nice about it.
Everything was very clean and there was no charge for a rollaway. Tastefully decorated but you could tell it was an older building.
Breakfast was provided free. Very nice selection and comfortable dining area.
If there was more time we might have saw the sights near by.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do have two options for parking here at the hotel. Valet Parking which is $22 + tax per day and self-parking. There are many options in the downtown area for self-parking with different price points. We generally recommend the open lot directly across from the hotel or the parking garage adjacient to the hotel for self-parking.

I am a Marriott Gold Rewards member, and had the opportunity to stay at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised at the location, and its access to several attractions. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see, and found some great restaurants nearby. I have stayed at several Springhill Suites over the past few months, and found them all to be modern, comfortable, and well-appointed. The lobby and breakfast area of this hotel seem to have undergone the typical Springhill renovation, but the rooms have not. Newer Springhills feature open floor plans, and modern glass and metal decor. These rooms haven't been brought up to that standard, so the room itself was just OK. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the air conditioning unit sounded like a 737, though it did keep the room comfortable. The bed was comfortable, as always, and the furniture was modern and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay here, and would probably stay again. Great staff, breakfast, and restaurant/bar more than made up for the room.

The location of this hotel is amazing. I wish we had more time in Dallas to explore because it's right across the street from the Aquarium. There are several restaurants (chain) like hooters, Dick's Last Resort, etc all within a stones throw of the hotel.
The rooms were great and had a mini kitchen in them. My only complaint is that the AC unit was exceptionally LOUD! It sounded like you were on an airplane sitting over the wing. Definitely needed ear plugs!
