“Great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2014

I loved my Friday/Saturday stay at The Joule in downtown Dallas. The interiors are sleek and modern - but not too modern. Many fixtures/furniture looked custom-made. A lot of slate, 2X2 tiles in shower, swivel wood laminated vanity door, raised vanity sink, separate toilet room (fyi - foggy, glass door does not go to ceiling), recessed ceiling and bedside lighting with electronic controls, cool desk lighting fixtures, etc. The room was a spacious and at the same time it had an efficient layout. I may have been in a corner room but I am not sure. I do know that my window was looking West. I loved the CBD Provision restaurant and bar - it had a great energy and good food/drinks. I also liked the Weekend Coffee shop. Both are off/in the lobby. The front desk staff and valet staff were REALLY nice and helpful. The location is in downtown Dallas, and let's face it, the streets of downtown Dallas can look like a ghost town. Although, many eating establishments typically have some vibe inside...but on the streets it was pretty lonely.

My daughter flew in from Green Bay for a two day meeting and as I live in Wichita Falls it was a great oppertunity to spend some time with her. Her office in WI provided her with airport transportation so I can not speak of airport to hotel support but I did observe that the hotel had curbside valet parking and they provided more than enough personel to keep things moving. I personally decided to park in the parking garage that is one street over from the main door and exactly about a 1 minute walk, cost me $5.00 from Sun noon to Mon. 9a. I think the hotel parking would be the most secure even though I had no problems. The hotel staff was great and answered every question we had. One of the things I appreciated was the fact you had to use your door key card to get the elevator to work, very secure system. Lots of eating places in the walking distance and nice resturant in hotel, great dog walking park about 3 blocks on same street as hotel. I did see some guys in red vests walking dogs in the area of our hotel so that may be a service they provide also, not sure.Rooms nice and very large meeting rooms if needed. all in all I very much enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

I truly enjoyed our short but sweet stay at the Joule. As some other reviews have already stated the rooms are a bit on the small side but definitely beautiful kept. From the moment we stepped out of our car till the moment we were escorted back into our car, the Joule staff was friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. I definitely hope to stay again and maybe next time have time to enjoy the spa.

The staff is all very young, but they are friendly and service was great. The public spaces and rooms are beautiful. CBD is the hip, happening after-work spot for great cocktails. I only regret that my stay was so short.

Room Tip: My room faced the street and there was occasionally some noise but it wasn't anything I couldn...

I think the other reviewers have said it all quite eloquently. A master class in customer service that other hotels could take a lesson from. We felt pampered and important. No detail was ignored. We had a wonderful romantic weekend and will definitely be back for another "stay cation."

This small, stylish, downtown hotel is within walking distance of the vibrant Arts District, but a call to the concierge brings the House Car around to whisk you to any location within five miles. So when we were caught in a downpour, the car came promptly to our rescue, including mints in the console to further enhance the ride back. The lobby is dominated by two interlocking gears in constant motion, a long communal table, and art photos on the walls. The rooms are relatively small but exceptionally well appointed and organized to make the most of the limited space. The shower -- either rain or hand-held -- was exceptional. Service was quite professional. This is an excellent choice for a downtown hotel that is a bit out of the box.
