“Beautiful hotel”

Loved this hotel! It's 100 years old but very clean and well maintained. Lots of modern conveniences. The Bistro makes a mean omelet! Can't wait to stay there again. Be prepared to use valet parking because of the downtown location, but it's worth the convenience.

Chose the Adolphus for a very special reunion with friends who had also never been to Dallas, and am SO glad I did. The staff was amazing from Day 1! The Valet, the concierge, the Room Clerks, the servers and bartenders, and the housekeepers went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. The room was beautiful and elegant (but I might stay on a floor higher that 8th next time, as there was some street noise...) Charming lobby with afternnon tea, and music near the bar at night...The Downtown location was perfect..close to some good restaurants, within walking distance of sighteeing areas, and the Hotel Car service was great about taking us to the Trolley to explore Uptown. I was prepared for the flaws that can come with an older hotel, but found none!. Hope to come back to Dallas and to the Apolphus.

Room Tip: Higher floors (above eighth) have less street noise

Our company contracted with The Adolphus for three consecutive days of business meetings. The staff was on point throughout our stay and the few glitches we had were addressed immediately. All the conference rooms we booked were set up exactly to our specifications (and the A/V equipment, including Wi-fi, worked perfectly, which is very unusual).

Areas for improvement: some of the meeting rooms need more natural light; the box lunches, although delicious, need a bit more creativity (don't order the egg or chicken salad as they are too runny); and parking is expensive so see if you can negotiate pricing.

Sleeping rooms also exceeded our expectations. Bedding exceptionally remarkable (our colleagues were talking about the pillows).

Great for a business meeting that continues into dinner as you can either dine at the restaurant or walk to some nearby excellent restaurants, which our group did every night.

Overall excellent and highly recommended.

We had a getaway evening at the Adolphus and it was nice but very pricey. We walked to a Mavericks game at the American Airlines Center and had a great time, then easily caught a cab back to the Adolphus. We parked our car with valet which was efficient but pricey. The room was clean but somewhat dated. The cold water tap was lukewarm and the bathroom lighting was poor, esp. for shaving/makeup. We ordered room service and watched a movie, both of which were overpriced. The pot of coffee was not hot but they quickly returned with another pot of hot java. The staff were courteous and efficient. The hotel has a feel of grand elegance and charm and the bed was comfortable. All in all, it was a good experience.

My wife and I had a date night and stayed here this past Friday and the hotel definately met our expectations. It had a real old time feel to it, with the old room keys handing in the lobby and the wooden elevators. It was all very clean, we got a really good deal on the room, and the staff was very nice. I would definately recommend it. :)

Room Tip: We stayed in an Executive Suite and it was verryyy roomy. It had a really comfortable king bed, and...
