“Two reasonably priced, scenic courses”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2012

I play here often because there is a great seniors' rate (age 60+). There are two 18-hole golf courses, both adjacent to DFW airport so there is usually considerable plane noise. There is a driving range, two putting greens, and the carts have GPS units. The course is very scenic with challenging holes, lots of trees, quite a few water hazards, and the ubiquitous sand traps. (Although one of the prior reviews says there is very little in the way of water hazards, not a single sand trap, and not many trees, I have to wonder if the reviewer commented on the correct Bear Creek Golf Club in Dallas, Texas which does not have any of the the 3 golf courses that are mentioned.) Personnel are friendly and the grill is reasonably priced with tasty food. Other than the plane noise (which you do get used to) the only negative is that the maintenance crews do not do a good job of walking around and picking up accumulated trash, especially around the edges of the water.

“Plane noise /narrow fairways”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2012

This course is next to the dfw airport. The east course has alot of plane noise which is loud enought to be distracting. The west course is quiter. There are some intresting holes with a few poorly designed ones but overall is a decent placxe to play golf. The staff has always been friendly, the course is in average condition for a public course with the grens a little better than average. The cost is very reasonable. I find the fairways a little narrower than most course I play but that adds to the challenge.

“Great price for golf”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2012

I work 5 minutes away from this golf course. The course is in great shape this time of the year despite the winter. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Great deals for airport employees after 2pm.

“Bear Creek Presidents course”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2009

This is a decent to good course for beginning golfers. There is very little in the way of water hazards and I don't think it has a single sand trap. The fairways are average to wide. There aren't even alot of trees. It doesn't look like you will get into a lot of trouble if you miss the fairways, but looks can be deceiving for you can land in some deep grass and not be able to find your ball let alone hit it out of the rough. They have alot of water stations with pretty cold water. If you are truly wild you can hit cars on the highway on 2 holes. The management is pretty friendly as our the other golfers. You can also walk on most days. The greens are slow and relatively flat. There are two other courses at the same location: The Masters for experts and the Challenger. The Challenger is another good beginner course. Compared to the Presidents course it is shorter with alot more water hazards, trees and some sand traps. Even with these hazards it is not real difficult except for a rank beginner. They will hit alot of balls into the water hazards. I hit in the 110s and the hazards are only a minor hazard. These courses used to be a real good deal for the money but there rates are now only average.
