The park has very good walking and biking trails. You can get a pretty good work out with beautiful lake view. The only problem is to find a restroom when you need it.

Grew up not far from here! Great place to watch a sunset at dusk! Took my daughter there when she was growing up to feed the ducks, just like I did with my Mom! Pack a picnic, pick a spot around the lake and enjoy the view! You won't be disappointed!

I am very blessed to live only about 8 blocks from White Rock Lake. The Park system here is really great and White Rock Lake Park is not only expansive, but very enjoyable for people of all ages. There is always so much activity at this park. You will find bikers, joggers, walkers, lots of dogs, picnics, photographers, painters, and even people out by the lake in the evenings feeding the birds on the water while lounging in a lawn chair. The sunsets here are tremendous and you have the ability to get some great photos here in the evening. These events are especially nice in the spring and fall.

I've been here a lot of times. It's always a good place to bike, walk or just see Dallas skyline and sunset. But this time, we had a special mission. We tried to spot fireflies (lightning bugs) along/near the white rock lake. And we actually FOUND them, plenty of them! The exact location is along Goforth Rd (between E Northwest Hwy and W Lawther Dr). It was very easy to spot those flashing creatures after sunset. That's the most entertaining experience I've had here.
