“Beautiful Any Time of Year!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

The Arboretum is gorgeous all year long. New flowers are planted each season. Themes are changed. For example, for Fall there are hundreds of thousands of pumpkins of different varieties lining the walk ways. Storybook theme houses are made of pumpkins. This is a very family friendly site. You are allowed to bring in food and have a picnic in certain areas or buy from their more upscale dining room or from the sandwich and smoothie stand. In the summertime and when there is a school break, it is full of children, not only in the special Childrens Garden but throughout the site. Make sure to tour the DeGolyer home, think those free tours are scheduled every 30 minutes. If mobikity impaired, they will lend you a wheelchair or use the tram that doesn't cover all the garden but lets you get a small idea and caan drop you off at DeGolyer. You may see brides, young girls for their Quincinera (15th coming out), or debutantes all dressed uo getting their photos taken here. You can stay a long time or just an hour, but make sure this is on your list of things to do. Parking is about $10 and admission is $15 adults, $10 for kids, plus an addition $3 if you want to see the special, new Children's Garden (it has activities and things to do, so not just a walking garden). You can use your own stroller or bring in a wagon for kids that don't use a stoller but may get tired later.

This is the most beautiful place at any time of year. I go often and it is a must see for anyone that visits us. If you are in Dallas don't miss seeing this and make sure you have lunch!

“One of the best kept secrets in Dallas!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

I can't say enough about the Dallas Arboretum. It is one of my most favorite places in Dallas. I have been a member for years. I could go and just sit for hours in the beauty and peaceful solitude of its surroundings. No matter what season of the year, there is always something beautiful and soul-inspiring to enjoy. I have lived all around the Dallas area and I always find time to make time for the Arboretum.

“Amazing”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Incredible! Very highly recommend visiting. The gardens are gorgeous. The walkways lead you throughout the gardens and around fountains. Multiple areas to stop for a picnic as well as delicious options to buy food as well. Had a delicious blended green tea latte while we strolled. Only downside is price, $15 per person plus paying for parking ($10). We got lucky and it was buy one get one free on tickets.

“Absolutely Lovely Any time of Year”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We have been in October twice and the pumpkin displays are very creative and fun for children. We have also been in the spring twice. They change the flowers out and have different themes throughout the year in one section of the gardens. It is very peaceful and you are able to bring a picnic to have on the lawn if you like. They also have a new discovery garden for children at an additional cost, but it was also very nice and the kids had fun exploring.
