Travel to Dallas to very often and was told by many people to visit Ocean Prime, so I finally got around to it. The place is very pretty and well appointed. A bit more modern that I like, but very well done. The bar is the nicest area and it also had a nice outdoor bar area. The bartender was great and very welcoming.
Once seated it took the wait staff forever to get to us. Kind of short as well since they had large parties in most of the restaurant. The appetizers were very good but nothing to write home about. We share a filet and redfish for dinner. The fish was dry and the steak was just average. Very underwhelmed. We should have walked across the street to the Capital Grille!!

I was struck by the excellent service that we received from the entire staff, Very friendly and helpfull. My wife asked for directions to the ladies and the hostess walked her all the way to the door! We ate on the patio and all of our needs were promptly attended to without pestering us. Water glasses kept full, wine poured, food served promptly and correctly, table pre-bussed quietly. The food quality was excellent. Seafood Cobb Salad is a wonderful light entree and the Surf & Turf Scallops were unique and wonderful (don't miss these). Ahi Tuna Tartar was large and tasty with plenty of tuna and avocado. Loved the place. Can't wait to go back.

We ate at Ocean Prime because it was my friends favorite place to eat in Dallas and it was her birthday. Positives were the quality of the food, though they got none of the steaks cooked to the level requested on any of the three ordered. )Per my friend this was the first time she's exer experienced them not getting it right the first time. I had no previous experience with them.) The decor is excellent. There is valet parking for $5. They had some vegetarian options - mostly sides. They had a complete gluten free menu and a kids menu as well. They had to be remided to bring the gluten free menu and it took 20 minutes or so to arrive. They served the salads and then the entree's came out about 45 minutes later. (Not good if you are a diabetic and you gave yourself insulin after the salad and before the entree expecting the entree to arrive soon after the salad.) The desserts were generous in portion, reasonably priced and delectable. They were the best part of the meal. This was my first an only experience with Ocean Prime and I will think about trying them again, but not with a group of 8. If you order the meal special - salad, entree and dessert, the price is very reasonable.

Our family of 5 had reservations for Easter 'linner' at 2:30pm, we were seated and greeted promptly. Although service started a bit sluggish, we weren't in any hurry so not particularly concerned. Enjoyed crab cake app (nice fresh flavor, not too much breading) and ahi tuna tartar (also very good- kind of a deconstructed sushi roll in a layered form).

Wine list had a solid selection. Apparently Sunday evening they have bottled wines 'on sale'...50% off any under $100. Good to know!

Some of our family had soup or salad both were good, not outstanding. At this point, service seemed to slow even more. (Perhaps a shift change?). No communication on the delays; although beverages were regularly refreshed.

Dinner itself was very good. Our group had scallops, seabass, a filet, red fish and lobster. Everyone was very pleased. Sadly, waiting for the waiter to return at this point was even worse. Dessert did arrive eventually and enjoyed by all.

Summary: food- good to excellent, service - friendly but too slow and spotty in attentiveness. One other note on cleanliness - it needed much work. The table and dishes were all immaculate, but the seats and floor were very unkept. Although I truly appreciate a leisurely dining experience, this was over long, and felt too much like we were forgotten. The food was good enough that I might return, but I won't rush back.
