We experienced some accumulative (and unfortunate) issues the first day we arrived, but to the credit of (Fairmont Gold) management, they were able to resolve these issues, and assure us that our Fairmont experience would be to our expectations - and they were. After day 1, we had a very enjoyable experience, and must complement Fairmont Gold management for their professionalism, customer service, & general hospitality. The Fairmont Gold experience was excellent, and the staff were very courteous & customer focused.

Room Tip: We stayed in Fairmont Gold, and had the benefit of an excellent room on L18 (facing west, with easy...

I travel for business regularly. My stay at the Fairmont Dallas was exceptional. Rooms were pleasant and spacious. But the exceptional part was the service. In particular Tony Bennett, the bee person went above and beyond In providing information and service. A wow! I'll look forward to going back to the Fairmont when I travel to Dallas.

My business partner and I spent three comfortable nights here. We bought our room as a budget four star blind on Hotwire and as expected, we probably had the Hotwire room (no real view, television interference, strange water-running noises, somewhat run-down-ish elements). I did contact the hotel after the budget gambit revealed that we, two larger-than-life women, were booked into a single King room. Our beds were cheerfully switched to two queens (as we deserve, huzzah).

As we were here to do business and not a meticulous inspection of the room, it was just fine (room includes: nice fluffy robes, big yummy bath towels, walk-in closet, safe, in-room coffee, hot running water upon demand, real soaps and delightfully smelly shampoos). We took advantage of the hotel bar where I was served, upon request, a wine by the glass that was not listed as such. This resulted in my buying a bottle for my room which is a fairy tale in which everyone wins.

We utilized room service, and they were on schedule as the menu listed. Upon deciding to ship home a quantity of items we had acquired over several days of a conference, the concierge could not have been more helpful in finding a box and sending up the indomitable Tony Bennett to assist us in conveying said box to the concierge desk.

Tony gets a special mention here as he has renewed my faith that: all people are not bad but some may very troubled (not Tony himself, we just had a philosophical discussion in the lobby); there are no ghosts at The Fairmont (oh, pooh) but there might be some in a couple of older hotels in town (and directed me to those locales), and people are generally good. His attitude and generous personality reassures me that there are people in this world who really self-actualize in their professions. Tony is one of them; he is truly a warm and wonderful person. Please seek him out if he does not find you first.

One other complement goes out to our car service chauffeur (I'm sorry I did not get his name), who after discovering we had not really gotten to see much of Dallas, took us to Dealy Plaza and pointed out various points of interest, parked, let us out and took our pictures, and still got us to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.

Well done, everyone at The Fairmont. While this iteration of the hotel is not a plushy, historic and over-the-top luxury monument like some other locations, the service was impeccable and I recommend it highly.

Room Tip: Go above 4th floor if you want a view. Do not buy a simple bottle of aspirin in the gift shop unless...

We visited the Fairmont this past weekend and although the experience was great, what stood out to us was a gentleman by the name of Tony Bennett who helped us with our bags both on arrival and departure. He had such a kind spirit, was genuinely welcoming and inviting to our family, which is quite large. He definitely represents the hotel in a positive manner and we left talking about how he made our trip even that more special. Thank you Tony!

So disappointed by the entire experience. The rooms (although "non-smoking") smell old and musty and as if someone had smoked there for quite some time. The beds are not comfortable. The temperature is difficult to control. We were there during a cold snap and could not get the temperature in the room warm. In the morning we found precipitation and ice frozen to the inside of the windows. There are no dining options, with the exception of one extremely overpriced restaurant and a lobby bar. The lobby bar has NO service, There was one bartender and one server and the server did not want to wait on us, we had to flag them down each night and they were clearly annoyed by our requests. Starbucks has very limited hours and short-staffed. The front desk staff was condescending and clueless. They actually called my room at 5:45 AM to verify they had a credit card on file for the other guest in the room (my 10 year old child!) The only bright spots were the friendly valets and bell staff and the room service staff. I usually love the Fairmont in other cities, but I won't return here when in Dallas!

Room Tip: Make sure you request the North Tower, concierge level. South Tower are old and smell bad. At leas...

On behalf of our team, I would like to extend our sincere apologies for the inconveniences that you experienced during your stay, which is certainly not indicative of the level of service the hotel typically provides. I have shared your experience with our hotel leadership team so that these issues will be directly addressed. The Dallas Fairmont is a lovely hotel. The rooms are very spacious and the location can't be beat. What is very impressive is the level of service and knowledge displayed by everyone on their concierge staff.

Stayed on 3/4/14 and the hotel was full. We asked for a roll-away bed for the room when we checked in and were told they would send one up. Called room service 3 times about the bed and was told the last time that it was on its way up (this is 3 hours after checking in and around midnight). At 1:00 am I heard the elevator open and a bed roll out, but it didn't come to our room - it went down the hall. I went out and asked the delivery guy where the bed was that I ordered 4 hours ago, and he indicated I should use the hall phone. I was told no beds were available now. Thoroughly frustrating since they were avilable when we checked in 4 hours before. Disappointed entirely with their lack of communication skills.
