They are undergoing extensive renovations.
We had a very good rate as a result of this, plus a group rate which was $20 less than I heard quoted at the temporary reception
The staff were extremely helpful (they seemed to go out of their way because of the difficult circumstances) - bravo!
The included buffet breakfast allowed plenty of choice.

Room Tip: If you can put up with a little dislocation, ignore the renovation work that is on-going, they make...

Hello and thank you very much for your feedback about your recent stay with us at the Courtyard Dallas LBJ and Josey.
I am glad to see that the staff went out of their way to assist you during your stay and offered you a fantastic rate as well.
Our renovations of the main lobby will be completed by the end of June 2014 and we've already started working on our guest rooms as well.

Much needed lobby renovations are near completion but hopefully the rooms will be renovated next. The rooms have not been freshened in many years and it's very basic I had to call the front desk since the television wasn't working (they did fix it), the lights were flickering and needed replacing and the bath was not completely clean. The staff was friendly which was appreciated. I'm just not a Courtyard fan and this property reminded me why...very few amentities, thin towels, no complimentary water or breakfast, I'm glad I only was here for one night.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our Guest Satisfaction Survey and sharing your experience with the Courtyard Dallas LBJ at Josey.

You indicated in your response that the current hotel room condition was unsatisfactory. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced.
As you mentioned, the lobby is in the process of a renovation with the creation of a Courtyard Bistro restaurant. We should be done in four short weeks.
We've already started a couple of weeks ago with the renovation of our guest rooms as a whole. We have started on the third floor of one of the two buildings and will be done with that in approximately 3 weeks. The entire hotels guest rooms will soon be renovated with the latest main lobby and room package set available by Marriott. In the bathrooms, we'll be installing a fully glass enclosed curved shower system in our rooms with king beds. For our rooms with two beds, we'll be installing new tubs and both layouts will offer a more modern layout as well.

You’re a valued customer and everything we do is aimed at providing you with an excellent hotel experience. We would like to regain your trust and hope to serve you again in the future. If I may be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I paid 69.00 for this room on a weekday. The beds were comfy, and the hotel clean. I had no problems checking in or out. All hotel staff were courtious, and friendly. The property was in good condition. I would stay here again, especially at this price point. The only down side was the porn channels on the television. This was a family trip.

Room Tip: Room 324 had good beds, and was away from elevator and ice machine. It faces the courtyard.

I've stayed here for several "staycations" and have always been very pleased with the service and the staff. There is a limited service restaurant for breakfast in the morning. It is conveniently located within a 5 mile radius of numerous great restaurants so food choices are not lacking. There's a Dickey's BBQ directly across the street if you don't fill like driving. The staff is very friendly and will help you with choices of delivery restaurants should you find yourself car-less. The swimming pool is inside the center of the courtyard, giving a sense of privacy. It's never been over crowded while I've been staying here.

Room Tip: If you're staying on the first floor, request a room that faces the patio instead of an outside...

I stayed at this Marriott last week. While the hotel is no better or worse than any other Marriott (I stay at Marriotts because of their consistency), the staff was exceptional. I wasn't familiar with the area and so I asked the front desk for suggestions for dinner. She directed me to a wonderful restaurant and then on the second night she suggested another fabulous restaurant. Their attitudes and demeanor were exceptional. A hotel is a hotel-- usually. But when you have fine people like Toya Hart at the front desk, your stay can be made even better.

Went to visit my family again, and for value and location we stayed at the Courtyard. The construction on the street and the LBJ is heinous, but honestly, this is worth it.

The hotel is like every Courtyard anywhere. Same pictures in the room, same furniture, same bedding. The actual bed was so soft that the mattress curled up around me. I like a firm mattress, but I slept just fine.

Plenty of room to unpack and to have my things on the counter by the sink.

The TV channels are basic cable with all the news and ESPN. There is a one cup coffee maker in the room. Not a K-cup, so fyi on that.

Had a hassle with the bill upon leaving, but Micheal the Asst. GM was super-helpful in getting it cleared up.

This is a good hotel at a great price right exactly where I need it.

It was okay but it is an older Courtyard, no Bistro. There is little as far as food choices around there. Had to order delivery. Can't remember the restaurant but the Gyro sandwich was horrible.
This property was okay for a night but I would probably elect to stay elsewhere next stay in Dallas. I only stayed here due to being close to the airport to fly out the next day.
