“Great stay in Dallas”

The Hotel was immaculate and the service was great. The lobby is impressive. I stayed in the tower and the rooms were well decorated and clean. The staff throughout the hotel was friendly and professional.

The art within the hotel is gorgeous but:
-parking is 1/4 mile away and is $19 per night
-the staff is constantly deflecting unexpected up charges which causes long lines and waiting
-the rooms leak a lot of noise
-the building is hard to navigate and is understaffed
-no laundry without going through valet
Be careful of prepaid amenities. We purchased the wifi and breakfast package only to find out we really purchased a measly $3 off the full wifi price and received no vouchers for breakfast.
DEFINITELY SCAMMED AND DISAPPOINTED.

First time here for my wife and I. We stayed here for a 2 night weekend over the 4th of July. We were lucky that there was nothing or any conventions going on that weekend as it gave us the place to ourselves so to speak. First of all, this property is HUGE! That's a good thing. It is suppose to have one of the largest Asian collections in the country. That alone makes this Hilton worth the stay. We spent a good amount of time walking around looking at the paintings and sculptures. It is AWESOME. Everywhere in the Hotel, it is beautifully designed, and very clean. The atrium area has water, plants, tables and chair to hang out at. Starbucks on location. The check-in was quick, and without problems. I was SO impressed with all the staff. I was lucky to get Amanda checking me in. She did everything right. Immediately recognized me as a Hilton rewards member. I asked if we could have a room that would face the nearest fireworks so we could watch them from our room. She did that for us. Thank You. Never said my room number out loud. Very polite. Smiled. Asked if there was anything she or the hotel could do for us. Also called later and checked in with us. This is a convention hotel. So we knew that, and knew what to expect when we got here. The prices are very high for most everything. Valet parking or paid parking only. No free parking. You pay for internet. Get deep pockets if you get into the stocked refrigerator. Beautiful sculpture park outside by the pool. Koi pond was very pretty. Pool was inviting and fun. They have one of the only swim-up bars in Dallas. That was fun. Here again, don't be shocked by the price of a small plastic cup drink! Very large hot-tub. Always had towels. Media bar and grill had large portions and all the food we had was very good. There is a nice restaurant on the top floor, but we did not eat there, so cant really say anything about it. We made sure to get a room in the main tower, as there are two tower's. One on the convention side, and one on the lobby, main building side. The room was beautiful. Looked to be remodeled not to long ago. Very comfy bed. Quiet. Oh, and what a great shower!! It would be a lot better if the bathroom had a vent fan. We were very impressed with housekeeping. Very polite. Left us a bag of goodies one morning. Kudos to Carl in Bellhop that came up to get our luggage. He was very nice. We Hope to be back soon. Great job here Hilton.

Room Tip: If your not here for a convention, ask for a room in the main building that has the lobby. And a hig...

I recently attended a work related convention that was held over several days at this facility. it may be a perfectly nice facility but I am NOT one to put on airs and I couldn't care less if the convention is at a resort or a more typical hotel. the staff I interacted with were very nice. the food was generally very good. the meeting rooms were comfortable for the most part. the atrium area where we had breakfast and lunch would get pretty toasty during the lunch hour. our room was supposed to have a small refrigerator. we requested one but it never got delivered. I didn't pursue it because I ended up spending very little time in the room other than to sleep. but for a LUXURY hotel, we were given 1 large bath towel per person. I thought that a bit odd. this place is just plain expensive. I would never pick a place this expensive for general travel - it is convenient at a convention to stay at the facility holding the convention but I also know that the people who were conducting the convention did not have to pay for their individual rooms. the thing that really irked me was charging for parking. they charge hundreds of dollars a night and then charge for parking on top of that!

Great mattress! Yummy breakfast buffet! Friendly staff! Great art collection throughout hotel. Hotel is a little tired looking and in need of sprucing up but lovely feel to it. We preferred the in room service to the food in the Media Room restaurant.

Stayed for three nights this time. Planning 4 next year. Bed comfortable, room clean, towels clean and plentiful, complimentary shampoo excellent and dispensed in a timely manner. Had the buffet breakfast daily and it was certainly a treat. Not the cheapest but certainly the tastiest and the service was lovely. Shout out to Dori from the Verandah Club - Thank you so much for your help! The creme brulee at the Media Grill was delightful and the steak was quite nice as well.

Room Tip: The higher tower rooms are lovely and quiet. Media grill is larger than you'd think with plenty...

Amazing decor, great little bar right in the lobby, and a gorgeous room. It was all around very nice, just short of extravagant. The location was not great if you are stuck there car-less, but it's quite close to downtown (driving) and, if you must walk, try to navigate to the Meddlesome Moth. Or Denny's is also easily walkable if you need to get out. Giant place though, lots of nice areas to just chill in. One bummer- they make you pay to use the fitness center, there's not a free one other than the outdoor track.
