This is a former movie theater, and while reconfigured into an intimate Broadway style theater, it retains its original interesting architecture (check out the lobby ceilings and floors, and the theater walls). Home to many events, I mostly see shows by Denton Community Theater and Music Theatre of Denton, which generally contain a lot of talent and are first rate. But due to how it's run, who you know, who's sleeping with who, etc, an occasional production is poorly casted or directed, and of course, when it's all volunteer, some say "They should just be glad I showed up at rehearsals!" That being said, I am rarely disappointed and am appreciative that the musicals have live musicians, the sets have an actual carpenter and scene shop, and the crowds are part of the excitement.
