“Worth the stop!!!”
Reviewed 6 October 2013 via mobile

Hubby and niece went on a whim, and were so glad we did!! The exhibits were informative and interesting, especially the school history and the farm equipment. The outside vehicles and displays were fun to check out. (Went searching for a geocache while there!!) To much to see in one visit, will certainly have to go back!

“Exquisite little gem”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

After a long drive we stopped before checking into the Hampton Inn. We were so glad we did not miss out on this wonderful museum. All ages can enjoy what is displayed. Collections from early day Texas ranching families have been donated. Life on the Texas Plains is presented beautifully in a modern - not musty - building. There is also a western art gallery, Indian artifacts, and a separate room dedicated to those Dumas residents who have served their country in times of war. Going into that room is much like going through a time machine to view many every day items on display which were from the 1900s. Outside of the building stands a telephone booth. That should get the kids' attention. Do not miss this museum.

“none finer we are mighty proud of it”
Reviewed 19 June 2013

We may not be a big town, but our museum will compete with any of them. We are mighty proud of what we have inside for you to see, but more important you will get a great big Texas welcome from some of the prettiest and finest ladies anywhere. They are very glad to welcome you inside to see the many items on display and are more than willing to help you with any questions you may have.
If you have a few minutes or a few hours you will be glad you made this stop on your trip.

“Wow!”
Reviewed 17 June 2013

This museum is really incredible for a town of this size and should not be missed when you visit or even pass through the town. The interior has vinginettes of various buildings: ranch house, kitchen, doctor's office, etc. The rear 1/3 of the facility houses several pieces of farming equipment - combines, tractors, trucks, etc.
