“Gone but not forgotten!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2013

Sad to see such a wonderful cafe close. Traveling through west Texas and seeing quaint personable almost forgotten towns embrace culture and inspiration so as to keep the candle burning for travelers such as myself, it disheartens me to know that such a special place doesn't have the local support it needs to survive. God Bless those who made it a part of their daily stroll on their way to work or just to try something different, those folks who didnt mind the long drive downtown. I guess these are the folks that see life in a different light!

“Wish we could have tried it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2013

We stopped at Anastasi based on Trip Advisor reviews while visiting there last weekend. We were sad to find out that this is currently just a breakfast and lunch place, although the sign said opening for Friday nights soon for dinner. We were there on a Sunday night, and it was closed. The good news is we discovered a terrific wine tasting place across the street that was open! That's another review however.

“There IS expresso between El Paso and Austin!”

This place is great. Charming interior. Great setting with a view of the courthouse and town green.
The owner Alberto was a gem. I was so hankering for a good double espresso and he did it.

“Great change of pace!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2013

If you are looking for something different and fresh, then this is the place for you. It is located on a corner right across from the courthouse in a quaint little place. There is a sweet couple that run it- the husband is in the back cooking and the wife waitresses and makes sure everyone has what they need. The chicken salad is great, as well as the turkey cranberry sandwich. The salad is also good, as it is not your typical salad. I am not sure that the soup is not from scratch, as it doesnt taste like it is totally fresh. None the less, it is a great place to eat!! When you finish eating lunch, you can walk across the street to a wine bar that just opened up!
