We booked this room by a third party.... No star rating and no reviews... It was cheap and we were caught in a storm... We took our chance. Well worth it! You could tell it was newly painted... The pool was being paved over recently, but not needed for our trip..the beds were soft and AC cold.... God bless! Not one complaint and I'm a complainer.... PS ... Yes, there was a bug in our room, but it's Texas....it happens!

This hotel is being remodeled by new owners, Our room was small but very clean and all new floors, etc We had a brand new mattress and had the best night's sleep yet. Owner greeted us at the counter - lobby was all torn up with remodeling - outside was a little scary when we pulled in but it was obvious as we pursued it that they were really working diligently to get it together - lots of remodeling going on by them. We had a refrigerator and microwave. Perfect stay for the money!

Room Tip: This is a family owned older hotel on one floor and spread out. Our room was in the middle - quiet...

Following Trip Advisor recommendations we stayed overnight here on our way through town. I was unsure at first but decided to trust the TA reviewers. We arrived around 9 pm and the very nice gentleman at the desk asked if we'd like to see the room first, we hesitated and he said of course you do and handed us the key. The room was great!! He told us the room renovations had all been completed.
The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nicely done! The AC worked great and best of all, we were able to park right outside our door!
The office is being renovated to accommodate breakfast in the near future!
Another reviewer commented on potholes in the parking lot, we saw none so we suppose repaving was done.
All in all, great find for an affordable, very nice place to stay!!
We will stay here again as we pass through periodically!

Just like the other reviewers, we had our hesitations when arriving at the Deluxe Inn. The outside just doesn't do the place justice--the property is maintained well. We had no trouble checking in without a reservation. We stayed in a room on the East side of the property, which worked well as we had no traffic noise or any other disruption. The rooms are spacious and clean--it looks like the restrooms/bathrooms were recently updated. There's a small fridge in the room as well as a microwave. We stayed here with our then 5-month-old & we had enough space to set up her travel crib. Like the other reviewers mentioned, this is a safe location! We definitely wouldn't have stayed with our baby there if we didn't think it was safe. No breakfast, but for the low rate you can drive a few minutes to find something the next morning! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay & will stop here again!

I made reservations and paid beforehand, so I was locked in. I was quite shocked when I pulled up to this hotel as it is very very old and rundown looking in a rundown area of town. Without the good reviews on Tripadvisor I would NEVER consider staying here, I would drive on by. In all honesty however the rooms we had were remodeled so everything was fairly new. The rooms are small however. The only thing negative I will say about the stay was that the pillows are terrible, they felt like a bag of cement with a pillowcase on it. So if you stay here a word of advice would be to bring your own pillows. Rooms in West Texas right now are very high due to the oil boom, so this motel is a good value for the area. I am not sure how this property is rated #1 on Trip Advisor however considering that there are some good name brand hotels in town although expensive. I would stay here again in a pinch only.

This little family run motel exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Clearly they are still working to improve the property but they are headed in the right direction. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I'd stay there again for sure!!

Easy to find a lowest price. If was safe and extremely clean. We were greet by the manager and there seems to be some construction or updates going on. We were given the room right by the office and construction, but we didn't hear any noise. It was very welcoming and clean. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed good.
